Question about Lexmark X7350 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Lexmark x7350 Still under warranty does not fax, scan or copy anymore

It suddenly stopped working when I scan, fax or copy. I think the scan bar is stuck. It makes a grinding noise and moves about an inch then returns. Where can I get this fixed. It must be a defect and still covered under warranty. I am in East TN 45 miles from Knoxville.

    Well, thanks for the timely response. I did just that and Lexmark replaced my printer 2 weeks ago. Too bad you couldn't have replied sooner.

Definitely sounds like the scan bar or some related hardware is bad. I would call Lexmark tech support at 1-800-332-4120 and ask them if it is still under warranty and if it's covered by warranty. Hope you registered the product when you first bought it.

apparently a lexmark cannot work without a pc except when making photocopies.For printing and scanning,the lexmark needs a pc that is why the lexmark comes with a software.

What you need to change is your screen resolution to either 800 x 600 or to 1024 x 768 (in your desktop settings)
What is happening is that your Lexmark all-in-one center doesn't think your monitor can handle the program (or something to that effect).
You will NOT have to restart your computer either.
Just restart your Lexmark All-In-One program and you can start scanning.

Remove glass to access scanner


I personally wouldn't try to do that, you run the risk of rendering the scanner nonfunctional, and also probably would void the warranty if it's still applicable. You may try calling Lexmark support at 1-800-332-4120 and tell them the scan bar is really noisy, and that's making the scans blurry. Depending on whether you're still under warranty and who you get (no joke), you may get a free replacement, since this sounds like a manufacturing defect.

If you can't get it replaced because it's out of warranty and decide to buy new, Lexmark's new business products that have just been released have a 5 year warranty, which is probably best in class. Check them out here.

Printer does not power up


None of the leds are flashing or indicating the power.
First Possible solution is change power cable or put the one which is already working Cable. If Its not getting power Check the fuse of Printer. If nothing Works Consult to service center as it seems to be under Warranty before doing any manipulation in the circuit.
