Check whether the CPU also goes off with the monitor or what ....

if the smps is gone means the both CPU & monitor will goes off after some seconds ....

if only monitor is only getting turned off then some of the components inside the monitor will be dead or it is getting over heated ....

those some components may be like capacitors etc ....

try inserting the monitor with other CPU & check it is it working correctly or not ...

if it is correctly working then there will be some problem in the CPU ...
(if the video adapter IC (intergrated circuit) is getting over heated means also you will face the problem like this ...)

if the monitor is working just like previous i.e it is getting off after some seconds means it s confirm that some of the capacitor is out inside the monitor ...

have a check with these .......

any doubts you can reply me
thank you
bye

Beep codes on dell xps one 2010

If I understand your issue, it sounds like the display works fine until it loads Windows, and then it has the error? It sounds to me like the video card drivers are crashing. This may be the case if you have recently updated them, or installed a new video card. I would recommend getting the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website on a CD, SD card, or USB drive, and then boot your computer in safe mode. Once in safe mode, install the new drivers, and see if that will help. You could also try using your onboard (integrated) video card if your motherboard has one. This could help rule out if the monitor is at fault. Just make sure your BIOS has the integrated card as a secondary video device if it the (I'm assuming PCIex16) peripheral card isn't found.

I have a gateway dx4200-09 and when I boot up the screen goes black a few seconds after we turn it on and can't do much without visual have to constantly turn on and off monitor for brief glimpses

Either the Monitor or Video Card is going bad. Since it comes back on by turning the monitor off and on, I suspect it's the monitor.

If you have another monitor, plug it in and see if it works. If so, the problem was the monitor.

If you have another computer, plug the monitor into it and see if it works, if so, the problem was the video card.

Hello I have a problem with my HP Pavillion m9277. When I switch the computer on it goes ok for about 5-10 seconds, cuts out for 5-10 seconds and then starts up again, but there is also nothing happening...

Hi Friend, As you have mentioned that your system goes off after 5-10 seconds and turns on again. I would recommend you to please unplug all the cables from the desktop and press and hold the power button of the system for 30 seconds, release it after 30 seconds and make the connections again.
Start your system again and check if your issue is fixed or not.
Also I would like you to check after turning on the system do you get any beeps from the system after which it goes off

LCD is shot. It can be repaired for about $50.00. Shop around local TV/Monitor repair shops.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

Monitor is bad for sure. Try another known good monitor on your computer and if the problem stops then you know for sure the original monitor is bad. Hope this helps.

Monitor goes blank less than a second after turning on.

do you have an aftermarket video card. In the bios you have to tell the computer if it is looking for a agp/onboard or PCI video card. Either that or the video driver or settings are wrong Try safe mode to check
