Question about Dell OptiPlex SX270 PC Desktop
Hello, my dell Optiplex SX270 is having problems with the CD drive in it's module bay. the diag lights on the back insist it's a failure in the machine and not the drive. I got this thing at a redistribution center so it has no warranty what-so-ever, is there anything i can do to it? Oh and it came with the HDD WIPED CLEAN. so no operating system is on it.
Well I decided to buy a new drive after a run of the dell diagnostic partition. (How it survived the wipe, I don't know.) and it came to a conclusion that the drive is dead. And that the POST (not diagnostic) lights on the back meant I had forgot to connect the keyboard AND mouse. I only had a keyboard for it then.
