Error 55.1 on hp 2600n printer - Printers & Copiers

I downloaded the firmware from hp site as recommended. I specifically opened it with the 2600n as designated printer. The printer was turned on and connected to the computer before openning the file but the same error still remained. What have I missed (I didn't see any README document).

55.1 is a DC controller error. You want to make sure the printer is pluged into a good power source with no surge protector. The manual says to upgrade the firmware on the dc controller and if that doesn't work the dc controller would need to be replaced. You can get the dc controller firmware upgrade at www.hp.com. then click on software and driver downloads. then model type and operating system. Then look for DC controller firmware upgrade. Download and follow the instructions in the read me file in order for more instructions to load into the printer.

SOURCE: OPEN DOOR

Try doing an nv ram

1. Turn the printer off
2. Hold down the select and the cancel button
3. Reboot the printer while holding the buttons and hold until permanent storage is displayed. Let go of the buttons and wait for the ready message on the display.

if this does not work it could be an actual sensor that is damaged.

Hp color laserjet 2600n giving "10.0000 suply error"

10.00 error is for the black cartridge. Check the cartridge locker for the black toner cartridge on the right side, is it different from the other? does it moves correctly? check properly. If the locker seems correct, try clean the contacts on toner and opposite HV pins in printer
