Re: i am able to start the game but its not working fine
It's takes a while to configure PCSX2 properly, and one thing you'll notice is that for a few games you'll have to go back and reconfigure it all just for one game. I can't just tell you one configuration. Because that configuration would only work well on my system because of my hardware. That was the reason why i sent you to those sites. I can give you some tips though.
Start the PCSX2 emulator (whichever one of the two .exe's you're using) and move the program to the side so you can see all of the black window. The black window scans your computer processor for what it supports. When it is done it will tell you what your chipset supports (ex. 3DNOW, SSE, SSE2 etc etc) Start by taking that info and go into CPU settings. And set everything according to those specs. If you're using a dual core processor or quad core make sure the dual core option support setting is set correctly. After you have configured those settings the next two most important places to configure is the video card setting and the sound card settings. You'll have to experiment with the different plugins they give you in that drop down window.
I'm sorry I wish there was just one magical configuration I could give you that would give you 100% success in every game PS2 has ever created. Unfortunately no one can. And no such thing exists. But your emulation problems with the game have to deal with 1 or all of the following things.
1.) bad cpu configuration (in the pcsx2 program itself) 2.) bad video card plugin configuration (in the pcsx2 program itself) 3.) bad sound card plugin configuration (in the pcsx2 program itself)
As I stated before make sure to read this page .::HERE::. it explains every plugin and what it does.

If your Hardware is pretty much compatible with game requirements than you have to go through some points before playing game to prevent your PC from slowing down:-
- Shut down all running updates - Remove all temporary files from your system - You must have enough memory on disc that can support your paging memory - Stop background running applications - Run Reginout Utility for extreme gaming experience - Update DX on your system - Try putting all graphics on low
What the issue is and the only reason I know is because I have had the same issue. You need to go into the game options and change the graphics to a lower option. Your graphics are set too high. Also before you change the graphics right click on the desktop icon and go to properties and then click on compatibility and then click on run as administrator. If that does not work then change the graphics.
Slow computer can also cause by alot of software install on your system that is using the resources of your computer like the Memory and Processor, so first thing you can do is to remove some unneeded software that you have on your computer and then after that try also running a scan on yuour computer with a good anti virus and anti malware because can also slow your computer down...
try lowering the screen resolution in the game settings also ste the grphics quality to low then see if the game is running fast if it runs fine then increase the graphics options one by one like resolution , bilinear or anisotropic filtering , antialiasing etc
and i would also like to tell you one thing that if the graphics card was inbuilt in your laptop then don't expect it to play heavy games like this you will have to install a separate graphics card to play good quality games
Too many things are running in the background. Before you start your game, load the Task Manager. Under processes turn off your virus protection, other programs like Sype, Logmein, Adobe, Itunes, Picassa, Google, etc. Then try your game.
Hi rajiv2612. Suggest you check for any software update's from GeForce for you're 8600 GT. Also check for any software patches for the game (s). (Include windows update service as well). The normal stuff like running windows system defrag & disk cleanup utilities should be run once a month for gamers. Lastly, if you feel heat may be an issue. Open the PC case & leave opened while playing the game that seems to slow down the most. If the game does not slow down (After checking & updating all of the above), than maybe you need to add a 3" fan to the case, so fresh air blows directly onto the 8600 GT.
jax, Have they ever worked well on your machine? Has this just started occurring? Your processor may be too slow for some of the games. Have you tried toning down on some of the video features.
Try unloading items from startup to save system resources for the game. Try(not while online) disabling virus protection.
Your machine may think its within the system recommendations but with extra progams and virus spyware programs running, microsoft updates its a different ball of wax.
I upgrade P III's all the time. They run really fast...until all the updates are applied, programs are installed and startup gets filled with un-needed programs starting for usually no "good" reason.
Let me know what happens.
