1) Using the Control Panel on the printer, press the Spanner/Screw driver button.
2) Scroll though the menu until you see Network Settings & press ok.
3) In the following menu select Wireless LAN Setup.
4) Then select Advanced Setup.
5) Then select manual Setup & press ok.
6) This guide assumes you are connecting through a router via Wi-Fi, in which case you will need to select Infrastructure Mode and then press OK.
7) Select Search SSID & this will search for your wireless network.
8) If your wireless network is showing, make sure it is highlighted then press OK.
9) Now you will need to enter the encryption type, this will depend on the length of the wireless key. WEP 64 Hex (10), WEP 64 Alpha (5), WEP 128 Hex (26), WEP 128 Alpha (13). Any router that has 8 characters I would normally recommend selecting WPA PSK TKIP UNLESS you know that the key is WPA PSK AES.
10) Now you will need to input the security key depending on which type you have, as advised above.
11) Once the key is in correctly you need to press OK. You will then see a Confirm Settings screen. Press OK on this screen and YOU MUST WAIT 30 SECONDS for the printer to establish a wireless connection with the router. After the 30 seconds please go down to Confirm Settings and press OK. This will tell you if it has successfully connected to the router. At this stage you need to make a note of the IP address. This normally starts 192.168.x.x
12) On the PC the printer will need to be installed, I recommend downloading the driver from here:
13) Once installed go to Start > Control Panel> Printers (This will vary slightly depending you version of Windows).
Right click on the printer, select properties (Printer properties for Win 7). Select the ports tab and add a new port.
When adding a new port select Standard TCP/IP, then click add new port.
NB The Standard TCP/IP port is recommended when assigning static IP address to the printer. (See router documentation on assigning static IP address).
If using a dynamic IP Address I would recommend downloading and installing the Epson net printer port. You can use a Standard TCP/IP port, however when the IP address changes communication between the printer and PC will be lost.
Setting up both port types are the same, once you select add port you will need to enter the IP Address, which we noted down previously from the printer. Once entered keep clicking next, then finish.
You should now be able to print over the network. To use the scanner over the network you will need to open Epson scan settings, (a separate utility to Epson scan) this will need to be set to network and contain the same IP address noted down earlier for the printer.

If you still have issues check your firewall and router settings, i.e. mac filtering etc.

How do I conect to the internet to play games

Below are instructions for connecting the PS3 to a wireless network (Wi-Fi) using the [Easy] setting. For other network connection options, see How to connect the PS3 to the Internet.

Text walkthrough

Power-cycle ALL network equipment.

Turn off (unplug) all of your network equipment, including any wireless access points, routers, Voice Over IP (VOIP) modems, and broadband modems for two (2) full minutes. See How to power cycle PlayStation 3 network devices for more details.

Make sure that all settings for the access point have been completed.

Check that there is an access point connected to a network with Internet service near the PlayStation 3. Settings for the access point are typically set using a PC. For details, contact the person who set up or maintains the access point.

Confirm that an Ethernet cable is not connect to the PlayStation 3. If the Ethernet cable is plugged in, the PlayStation 3 will automatically attempt to connect via the wired connection.

On the XMB home menu, go to (Settings) > (Network Settings) and press the button.

Then go to (Internet Connection) and select [Enabled].

Then scroll down to (Internet Connection Settings) and press the button.

Select [Yes] when a confirmation screen is displayed stating that you will be disconnected from the Internet.

Select [Easy] and press the button.

When prompted for which type of connection method, select [Wireless] and press the button.

Under WLAN Settings, select [Scan] and press the button.

If you own a wireless access point that supports AOSS (AirStation One-Touch Secure System), then you must select [Automatic]. These wireless access points are commonly made by Buffalo, Inc. AOSS will automatically configure the necessary settings. Follow the on screen prompts to complete the setup.

You will see a list of access points within range of the PlayStation 3. From the list, pick your SSID and press the button.

If you do not know which SSID you should use or if an SSID is not displayed, contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for assistance.

On the next screen, confirm the SSID then press the right direction button to continue. If you press the button, you will edit the SSID.

Select the security setting that you want to use and press the button.

The types of security settings vary depending on the access point. Contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for information on which setting to select.

If you selected a Security Setting, enter your security key.

Press the [Start] button to exit the onscreen keyboard.

Press right on the directional pad to proceed to the next screen.

The encryption key is displayed as a series of eight [*] no matter how long the key may be. If you do not know the encryption key, contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for assistance.

Once you have entered all the information, a list of settings will be displayed.

Press the button to save these settings.

Depending on the network environment, additional settings for PPPoE, proxy server, or IP address may be required. For details on these settings, refer to the information from your Internet service provider or the instructions supplied with the network device.

Press the button to test the connection.

When the test is complete (usually less than a minute), it will display the results ("Succeeded" or "Failed").

If you have successfully connected to your network, congratulations, you have completed the network setup process

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A PSP FROM BEST BUY AND I CAN'T FIND THE AOSS BUTTON ... COULD SOMEONE PLEASE ASSIST ME WTH THIS?

AOSS button is not found on your PSP or PS3. It is found on more expensive ROUTERS
AOSS is what you would see on some high end routers. if your routers doesn't support this method or have this button you can't set up your psp using it.

The PSP does not have an AOSS button. AOSS (AirStation OneTouch Secure System) is used for wireless setup of devices to your network. AOSS button is found on your router IF it has this feature. If it does not then more than likely your router does not have the ability to set devices up in this manner.

1)To use this set up for the PSP go to Settings>Network Settings> Internet Setting> (Method) Custom> (Select Connection Method) Wireless- ( Setting) Auto - AOSS. At this point the PSP will tell you to push the button on the router and that you have two minutes or else the attempt to connect will stop.

********************* NOTICE **********************
Again this only works if your router has this button. and it is not found on your ps3 or psp

so you'll need to set it up differently. if your home is set up with wireless router and yourare connected online wirelessly read along....

JUST MAKE SURE YOU DO HAVE A WIRELESS HOME NETWORK... it definitely wont work if you don't have a wireless setup and u are trying to connect wirelessly. people overlook this no brainer.

1) go to Settings
2) Network Settings
3) Internet Setting. confirm on "O.K."
4) easy *it may or may not give you a message reading "checking network configuration"
5) wireless

from this point on you need to know few things about your network.....

6) scan -- once scanned it'll give you other wirelss access point for you home network and some other near your home along with few information such as SSID (which is what you set your network to be -- i.e. "the jones" or "linksys" or "summer home" or "my connection" etc etc) SECURITY (this is the password you set up your network with) SIGNAL STRENGHT (usually your network will be the strongest among your neighbors since you are closer to your router)
7) highlight your network and press x . (you should know what it is) selecting on the other network will probably not do you any good since it'll probably be all locked with password and such and so should yours be.
8) SSID which means service set identifier basically mean the name of your network. if your home network is set up with security and password your home network will not show up under SSID (this is one of the things you need to know about your home network)
9) on WLAN SECURITY SETTING page (this is another thing you should know about your home network or ask the person who set it up) -- most people i deal with have a WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK security password yours may be different so choose the one that you used.
10) WPA KEY - which basically means password. input the password you used to set up your home network (this is another thing you should know about your home network or ask the person who set it up)
**it'll give you "checking network configuration"
11) if you input all the correct info you should get the "setting list" screen
12) press "X" to save the setting
13) do the connection test and if all things were entered correctly you should have success.

all this seems complicated just reading but if you follow it step by step its easy. you just need to know the name of your home network, the home network security setting, and the password of your home network.

How do i connect my ps3 to the internet via wireless connection

Hello,

Please find below:

  1. On the XMB™ home menu, go to icn_settings.gif(Settings) > icn_networksettings.gif(Network Settings) and press the icn_btnx_color.gifbutton.

  2. Then go to icn_settingitem.gif(Internet Connection) and select [Enabled].

  3. Then scroll down to icn_settingitem.gif(Internet Connection Settings) and press the icn_btnx_color.gifbutton.

Select [Yes] when a confirmation screen is displayed stating that you will be disconnected from the Internet.

  4. Select [Custom] and press the icn_btnx_color.gifbutton.

  5. Select [Wireless] as your connection method and press the icn_btnx_color.gifbutton.

  6. Select the WLAN Setting.
Choose how you wish to connect the Internet. For most users, "Scan" will be the option to choose.

    wirelesscustom06.gif //
    • Scan - This will scan for any wireless access points in the area. Choose this option if you are not sure of the name of your wireless access point (SSID).

    • Enter Manually - Choose this option if you know the name of your wireless network (SSID) and/or your SSID does not appear if you chose the "Scan" option.
You will need to contact the person who setup or maintains your network to obtain this information.

    • Automatic - Choose this option only if your wireless access point supports automatic configuration (i.e., AOSS).
Select the security setting that you want to use and press the icn_btnx_color.gifbutton.
The security setting varies depending on the access point. Contact the person who maintains the access point for information on which setting to select.
    wirelesscustom07.gif //

  7. If you selected a Security Setting, enter your security key with the keyboard.
Press the [Start] button to exit the onscreen keyboard.
Press right on the directional pad to proceed to the next screen.

The encryption key is displayed as a series of eight [*] no matter how long the key may be. If you do not know the encryption key, contact the person who set up or maintains the access point for assistance.
    wirelesscustom08.gif //
  8. On the IP Address Settings screen, you will need to select one of the following three "Custom" options: Automatic, Manual or PPPoE.
PPPoE is usually used for DSL broadband connections that require you to enter a user ID and password. You would normally only use this connection type if you have a wireless access point without a router. It should only be used if you are connecting directly to your ISP without using a home gateway router OR using a router that does not authenticate your PPPoE connection for you.

    To use PPPoE settings:
    • On the [IP Address Settings] screen, select [PPPoE] and press the right directional button.
    • You will be asked for your PPPoE user name (or user ID) and password. You will need to get this from your ISP.
Note : When entering user names and passwords, keep in mind that User Names and Passwords are often case sensitive, so make sure that you enter them EXACTLY the same as they were created, including the same UPPER and lowercase letters, where appropriate.
    • Once you have entered the user name and password, press the right directional button to continue through the following screens.
    • Enter any DNS and proxy settings you may need.
    • Check your settings to make sure that they are correct.
    //
  9. Once complete, a list of settings will appear. Make sure all settings are correct and then press icn_btnx_color.gifbutton to save the settings.

  10. Press the icn_btnx_color.gifbutton to test the connection.

  11. When the test is complete (usually less than a minute), it will display the results ("Succeeded" or "Failed"). If you have successfully connected to your network, congratulations, you have completed the network setup process.
Hope it helped.

Picture is split -- says P-SCAN. It's stuck

that means it is stuck on progressive scan.  If your tv is not able to handle progressive scan, you need to change it back or reset the player.
The DVD player may be set to Progressive Scan Mode. You will need to change it to Video Mode by using the remote control. Point the remote control directly at the DVD player, and then press the PSCAN button 2-3 times. If you are still encountering problems with the DVD player, reset the unit back to the default setting.

To Reset,
Make sure you do not have a disk in the tray. Using the DVD player remote control: 1) Press the “Setup” button. 2) On the “Down” arrow, press it three times. 3) On the “Right’ arrow, press it once. 4) On the “Down” arrow, press it three times. 5) On the “Right” arrow, press it once, then press “Enter”. 6) Press the Setup button. *The default setting will take affect as soon as you press the setup button (step 6).
Hope it helps..please rate!
