Hey mgpeplow,
In order for your Nuvi 360 to Work with the latest 2009 Update, you will have to get the new software for the Nuvi. Visit their website, and it will have a download for the latest software. Install it and you should be all set.

How to update your xbox360

The easiest way to update your console software is to connect to Xbox LIVE. To update your console by using Xbox LIVE, all you need is an Internet connection.
  1. Connect your Xbox 360 console to the Internet. To learn how, please see Connecting to Xbox LIVE.
  2. On the console, go to My Xbox, and then select System Settings.
  3. Select Network Settings.
  4. Select Wired Network or the name of your wireless network, if you are prompted to do so.
  5. Select Test Xbox LIVE Connection.
If you cannot connect your Xbox 360 console to the Internet, you can copy the console update from your computer to a USB flash drive and then install it on the console.
Note: The USB flash drive must use the FAT32 file system.
  1. Plug your USB flash drive into a USB port on your computer.
  2. Download the update file.
  3. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
  4. Unzip the file. If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
  5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory of your flash drive.
  6. Unplug the USB flash drive from your computer.
  7. Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your Xbox 360 console.
  8. Restart the console.
  9. When the console restarts, the installation program starts automatically. Select Yes when you are prompted to update the new console software.

You can update your Xbox 360 console software by downloading the update to your computer from Xbox.com, burning the update to a CD or DVD, and then installing the update on your console. Here's how:

  2. Click Save to save the console update .zip file on your computer.
  3. Unzip the file. If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.
    • If you are using Microsoft Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click the .zip file to unzip it.

  4. Insert a blank, writeable CD or DVD into your computer.
  5. Copy the contents of the .zip file to the root directory on your CD or DVD, and choose to write (burn) the files to the disc.

Backup and Restore Favourites on Garmin Nuvi Satnav

If your garmin nuvi satnav becomes faulty it may have to be reset or indeed scrapped. Either way you lose the places saved in your favourites folder.

If you have backed them up to your computer it's a simple matter to restore them to your reset nuvi or to a new one.

To Backup Favourites in GarminNuvi Satnav

Instructions for PC:
  1. Connect the Garmin nuvi satnav to your computer
  2. Go to the Start menu
  3. Choose My Computer (or Computer for Vista and Windows 7)
  4. Right-click the Garmin nuvi drive and select Open
  5. Double-click the Garmin folder (For nuvi 1xxx series units skip this step)
  6. Double-click the GPX folder
  7. Right-click on the Current.gpx file
  8. Choose Copy from the right-click menu
  9. Right-click on any blank area on the desktop
  10. Choose Paste to put a copy of it on your computer's desktop
Instructions for Mac:
  1. Connect your garmin nuvi satnav to your Mac
  2. When you see the Garmin nuvi mounted to the desktop, double-click on it
  3. Double-click on the Garmin folder (For nuvi 1xxx series units skip this step)
  4. Double-click the GPX folder
  5. Click once on the Current.gpx file
  6. Go to the Edit menu at the top of the screen
  7. Click Copy "Current.gpx"
  8. Click any blank area on the desktop
  9. Go to the Edit menu again
  10. Click Paste Item
Now, if for some reason you need to put the file back onto your garmin nuvi satnav, you will need to send it over to your satnav using a program. For the PC, you will need MapSource which can be downloaded at:http://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=209

To send the file back to the satnav using MapSource on a PC:
  1. Connect your Garmin Nuvi satnav to the PC
  2. Go to the Start menu
  3. Highlight All Programs (Or just Programs for Vista and Windows 7)
  4. Highlight Garmin
  5. Click MapSource
  6. Click on the File menu
  7. Select Open...
  8. At the top where it says "Look in:", select Desktop
  9. At the bottom where it says "Files of type:" select GPS eXchange Format (*.gpx)
  10. Click on the Current.gpx file
  11. Click Open
  12. Click on the Transfer menu
  13. Click Send To Device...
  14. Select the GPS in the Device drop-down list.
  15. Click Send
Currently MapSource does not work with the Mac operating system so you'll either need access to a windows computer or a windows environment on your Mac to send the file back to your satnav.

I try to update tiger woods 09 on my used xbox. It either freezes, or disconnects me from xbox live

If you have tried to update Tiger Woods more than once and it is causing an error then you are going to have to manually update the drivers on your Xbox 360.
You need a to download a list of the $System Update files for the Xbox 360 to your computer. Starting with the oldest update file put them on a USB flash drive one by one. Once you have a file on your USB drive you need to put the USB in your Xbox 360 and then boot it up. If you still get the Update your System message then it wasn't the correct file. Go back to your computer and remove that $System Update file from the USB and load the next one on your USB.
Continue this process until you find the $System Update file that fixes your Xbox freeze.
If you don't know where to find the $System Update files just message me.
Hope this helps. Please Rate me!
Thanks,

How do i put music on nuvi 360

You need to connect your Nuvi to your PC using a Mini-USB to USB cable. This cable should have come as an accessory with your Nuvi 360.

Connect the cable betwen the two and you should see the a PC icon show up on your Nuvi and the Nuvi will show up in your Windows directory as a storage drive... usually drive "G".

The files have to be in MP3 format (.mp3 extension). You can right click on the MP3 file on your PC and select copy, then go to the Nuvi directory and paste it into the directory folder named "MP3" on your Nuvi.

Thats it.... now make sure you "SAFELY REMOVE" the drive in windows before you unplug the cable.

When you select the MP3 player on your Nuvi, select the browse button and you should find your MP3 files.

Says No detailed maps found that support routing. The nuvi can not be used without them. Used it to drive home and when turned it back on this is what it said?????

I finally got an answer to the same problem and here it is. Do exactly what it says to do and it will copy to your NUVI 200W. This is a manual way of doing it without the program logging onto the Garmin website.

Thank you for contacting Garmin International. I am sorry that you are having difficulties updating your Nuvi. I have included a fix that you can do which will fix the error message that you are getting on your unit.
1. Extract the downloaded file Garmin_RMU_2010B.exe using 7zip(7zip.org) or WINRAR.
2. After extracting, the files should be available at the location where you extracted the files.
3. Go to the extracted file location. Click on the Windows folder.
4. Right click on the Setup.exe file and Click Create Shortcut
5. Right click on the Shortcut to Setup.exe file and Click Properties
6. In the target line add " -build_map_image 006-D0783-04" at the end of setup.exe". For example it ill end would looking like xxx\Setup.exe" -build_map_image 006-D0783-04
7. Click OK.
8. Double click on the Shortcut to Setup.exe the map file will be built. Leave the Window open till completion of all steps.
10a. Windows XP: Click on Start>Run, then type in %Temp%. Another window will open.
10b. Windows Vista: Click on the Start Button, in the Start Search, type %temp%. Another window will open.
11. The file is placed in subfolder named 006-D0783-04.
12. Copy the gmapprom.img file from the folder to the Garmin folder on the Nuvi. Overwrite the existing file.
13. The lower 49 states will be installed on the unit.
If you have any trouble with this fix, or are not comfortable trying it please call into our 800 number and ask to speak to Software Support and one of our technicians will be happy to assist you.
If you need further assistance please call 800-800-1020 number Mon - Fri 8:00am to 7:00 pm central time and someone will be happy to assist you.

Did I lose my map?

First you will want to empty your recycling bin & clear your temporary internet files before re-downloading the Garmin_RMU_2010B.exe file. Below is the remainder of the fix I received from Garmin support and it worked for my unit. Hope this helps.

1. Extract the downloaded file Garmin_RMU_2010B.exe using 7zip(7zip.org) or WINRAR.

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z465.exe 32 bit
or

http://downloads.sourceforge.net/sevenzip/7z465-x64.msi 64 bit
2. After extracting, the files should be available at the location where you extracted the files.
3. Go to the extracted file location. Click on the Windows folder.
4. Right click on the Setup.exe file and Click Create Shortcut
5. Right click on the Shortcut to Setup.exe file and Click Properties
6. In the target line add " -build_map_image 006-D0783-04 " at the end of setup.exe". For example the end would look like xxx\Setup.exe" -build_map_image 006-D0783-04
7. Click Apply and OK.
8. Double click on the Shortcut to Setup.exe the map file will be built. Leave the Window open till completion of all steps. 9a. Windows XP: Click on Start>Run, then type in %Temp%. Another window will open.
9b. Windows Vista: Click on the Start Button, in the Start Search, type %temp%. Another window will open.
10. The file is placed in subfolder named 006-D0783-04.
11. Copy the gmapprom.img file from the folder to the Garmin folder on the Nuvi. (Double click on MyComputer>Nuvi drive>Garmin folder) Overwrite the existing file.
12. The Nuvi should now have the lower 49 installed. If you have any trouble with this fix, or are not comfortable trying it please call our Software Support Department at 1-800-800-1020. Please be at a computer that has high speed internet access as we may need to log on to your computer to resolve the issue. Make sure you have the program extracted using the 7 zip program provided above. Hours of Operation Monday – Friday: 8 am – 7 pm Central time (closed holidays)

Lost maps off garmin nuvi 660

Please delete any MP3 files or extra vehicle icons on your Nuvi. The map file is 1 GB in size. There is a possibility that your Nuvi's directory is corrupted and/or there are hidden garbage files on the directory that are taking up your storage space. You can look for these using windows explorer but don't delete anything if you don't know what you are doing.

Garmin Nuvi 205 keeps saying no maps available ???

This is easy. You have to run your software, select the maps tap and then transfer maps to the device. Chances are good you uploaded a 2009 map on top of the 2008 map. The updater doesn't delete maps.

Your unl file only has one key, you have two maps loaded. Simple go into the garmin directory and delete the map file and the mapsupp file. You can easily find them because they are greater than 500 mb.

Then run mapinstall (google for the file). This will install your most current map to the Nuvi. You are back in business.

I have a problem with Garmin 770 maps unlock

How to unlock this mapping to your Nuvi 700 series, if you get the error message “can’t unlock maps”
Please connect the Nuvi to the computer then follow the following steps:
1. Go to ‘My Computer’ and select your Nuvi.
2. Once you have selected the Nuvi go to the ‘Garmin’ folder.
3. Click options along the top toolbar of the open window, then select folder options.
Once the box appears, select the VIEW tab along the top and un-tick the ‘Hide extensions for known file types’, then click OK.

4. Once you are back in the Garmin window you will need to right click the window and
then choose NEW > Text Document:

5. Once you have the Text Document appear in the window you will need to name it:
gmapprom.unl (you may need to remove the .TXT extension).
6. Once the file has been created, right click on it and choose open. A window will pop
up asking you to choose the program to open the gmapprom.unl file, you will need to
choose NOTEPAD and make sure the box at the bottom that says to always use this
program for this file type is un-ticked and then click OK

7. You will then have an empty document open, in here you need to type your 25 character unlock code all in lowercase and without spaces or ‘-‘. After entering this,
save and close the document.
8. You can then unplug your unit and the mapping will be unlocked on the Nuvi. (Please note that if you have a Nuvi 770 then you will need to repeat this process again as you will have two unlock codes. You will need to name the second file
