I cannot type @ into an email address, can anyone help?

Similar problem on my 4G. left shift and 2 makes an @, right shift and a 2 makes nothing. Similar on some of the other keys. Both shift keys have similar problems. Left shift key won't make a capital L, but right shift does. There's 4 or 5 keys on each shift key that respond like this. Suggestions welcome.

Try another keyboard I think yours is faulty may have had moisture or water on it this is usually what happens. not straight away but through inner corrosion

What do i do to get the @ on my asus 300t keyboard ?

The keyboard looks to be a standard "qwerty" layout. Hold down the shift key and while you hold that, type the key for the number 2.

My shift keys hate me

Your keyboard is in essence one big circuit board and that circuit can have failures like any other piece of equipment. If no other keys are failing or giving you issues than it most likely is just with that circuit, the shift keys are generally tied together on the same circuit unless they are programmed differently which can be done in certain games. You may have to replace the keyboard with a new one to rectify this situation. It's not a cable not seated well issue and I don't believe it is a driver issue. Good luck

Shift key problem

the contact underneath the shift key itself is starting to go bad. Its a common issue with sony laptops, the keys can wear out pretty quickly. You'll have to get another keyboard.

Shift key not working

You have 2 Shift keys on the keyboard. If the other shift key is working then the shift key that is not working is defective. You should consider replacing the keyboard on your laptop. There is no setting on Windows that can disable the shift key.

**Note : If both Shift keys are not working, Try to check if sticky keys feature on windows is on. Sticky keys should be disabled. To disable sticky keys, Click on start and Go into control panel > Accessibility Options, and under keyboard there is sticky keys. Remove the tick and click apply and OK.

**If "Use Sticky Keys" is unchecked, that means sticky keys is disabled.
