Question about KitchenAid 24 in. KUDP01IL - Multiple Color Built-In Dishwasher

Buzzing noise and won't clean

The dishes don't get clean for quite some time. Glasses looked foggy with bits of food stuck after a cycle. Only on the top rack. Switching to hi-temp scrub seemed to be the solution. Until recently a buzzing noise suddenly occurred during the wash cycle. Now dishes on both racks do not get clean. Water pumps in and fills the bottom of the tub. Water pumps out, you can hear it in the drain.

Dishwasher is noisy. Glasses don't get clean on top rack. They come out foggy. I put some vinegar in with my cycle, which seems to help, but I have to make sure my glassware is on the bottom rack. And now it's not draining completely.

This sounds almost exactly like what has been going on with our dishwasher. It's fairly new (couple of years old) and I expected more from this brand.

This is lakeeta36, the solution to this problem was to replace the mechanism that chops the bits of food. It is a fan-looking item that spins in front of the filter before the water is pumped out. The filter was getting stopped up slowing the water flow until even the lower rack couldn't get clean. Thanks for the help, though. :-)

An aging water-inlet valve can sometimes fail slowly, rather than all at once. It can shudder on and off rapidly, causing the incoming water lines to shake, rumble, and rattle--sometimes violently. If yours is doing this, replace the inlet valve.or may be its due to
Heater fanIf the heater fan bearings are rusted or worn, they may squeal, or scrape loudly during the drying cycle. If this is the problem, replace the fan motor. Alternatively, the fan blade may be loose. If so, you need to replace it.

Glasses /cups/dishes on the top rack don't get clean. they come out foggy, although I use Jet Dry daily

If you have hard water glasses can look spotted and cloudy even after cleaning. Sometimes changing the dishwasher detergent can help. The easiest solution to clearing up glasses that start to look cloudy is to add some vinegar to the bottom of the dishwasher before you start a cycle. Simply add 1/4 of white vinegar and it will clear up your glasses very well.
You should see marked improvement after the first time you do this. If they are not crystal clear then simply repeat the process until all of the cloudiness is gone. In fact I recommend to using a little vinegar in each cycle to maintain the clarity of the glass.

Note: you can pre-test this by rubbing some vinegar on an individual glass with a cloth. If you cannot remove the cloudiness by soaking it and rubbing vinegar on it then it is possible that the glass is etched due to harsh or cheap dishwasher detergent and vinegar will not solve the problem.

Dishes may not be getting enough rinse water. Had the same problem before I replaced inlet valve. My fisher packel was 3.5 years old before I replaced the inlet valve due to a knocking noise, but It still ran through cleaning cycle without any alarm codes.

The problem is hard water. There is a new product out called the dishwasher filtration system. It filters the water before it enters your dishwasher. It works amazing and has a money back guarantee. You will love the way your dishes look after the first load. It is also very affordable (like 70 bucks). Go to www.dishwasherfilter.com to find out more info.

Kenmore elite dishwasher leaves food particles on dishes

If someone is putting dishes in the washer and obstructing the spray ams that would cause food to stay on dishes. After loading dishwasher and pushing in baskets make sure the spray arm doesnt hit any of the dishes causing them to not clean properly. If that doesnt work or is definately not your problem try removing the spray arm and seeing if it has food inside of it. Some times they get food build up in them and need to be flushed out.

Bits of food on glasses

I have the same problem, and sometimes, when I add salt to my water softener, the problem goes away until the next time I need to add salt. Other times, I have no idea when I'm going to have the crud in the glasses. I've tried different detergents, rinse agents and even different shaped glasses. Seems the glasses which have slightly larger bottoms than tops are worse.
