Appliences - dish washer

Dear Sirs;
I have a very unique problem.
When I redid my kitchen, I purchased 3 appliences: Dishwasher, refrigerator and stove.
The refrigerator was Demaged, and it was no problem they delivered and reinstalled a nother one. But the dish washer is absolutely damaged goods. You have the report from Best Buy service man to back up my story. I couldn't begin to tell you how many times I called best buy store and how many times I was in the store. I am a very busy business woman, and hour es upon houres plus aggravations I had with this dish washer, it came damaged, it dasn't dry. I was so excited to get it first, because the all dust that it was done du to remodeling my kitchen , I first excitingly pout one was of crystals and then another and it didn't dry or clean well... I had to re clean each cristal by hand and dry by hand...only fraying by hand it took me 4 hours...
Now what is the problem: because the guys who did my kitchen they connected for me, that was my deal with them. Now, because as it appeared after the fact that the dish washer is defected best buy want me to charge for the reconnection...You have to understand I bought the dish washer new-not a second or third hand that I should take the chances. If the THE GOODS ARE Demaged IS YOUR OR THE COMPANIES "REFRIGIDOR" PROBLEM. I REFUSE TO PAY TWICE FOR THE CONNECTION IF IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY BECAUSE OF DAMAGED GOODS. sALES PEOPLE IN THE lAWRENCE N.Y. DON'T GET IT... AND THAT IS WHY I AM WRITING TO YOU HOPING THAT YOU UNDERSTAND MY PROBLEM.
MY EMAIL IS; skinspecialist@yahoo.com my name is Mrs. Price.
Thank you.
I look farward to your response.

How much salt goes in dish washer

You don't put salt in a dishwasher unless you want to ruin it.

2. You ONLY use a detergent specifically for dishwasher use as the cleaning agent and you 3/4 fill the soap dispenser in the washer (normally fitted into the door on the inside) with the dishwasher powder.

3. If there is a separate small compartment in your dish washer for a "rinse aid" solution to be used, you can use a rinse aid product designed for dishwasher use only. If there is no rinse aid compartment (this is also normally fitted to the inside of the door - if fitted on your machine) then you cannot use a rinse aid in your washer.

4. Don't use any other product in the dish washer.

My Kitchen Aid Dishwasher model # KUDS40FVSS0 has blinking cancel, sani-rinse and normal wash lights. It will not run at all. We replace the control board and still nothing. Please Help!!!

I have had this problem. Mine didn't work for over a week and by the time the repair man came over to 'replace the board' it suddenly worked. The guy told me that if you use ANY type of liquid dishwashing soap (for your sink) and any residue/bubble is on the dishes, it can cause your dishwasher to break. I have no idea why but I've been really careful to make sure I wasn't using dish soap prior to putting them in the washer.

I've had 3 service calls on this dishwasher since I purchased it 3 years ago. I'm having similar service issues with my Kitchen Aid Fridge. And of course no help from Kitchen Aid.

Dishes not coming out clean

Hello

There are some things you can try, however, if your Maytag dishwasher is not getting your dishes as clean as you would like. Maytag recommends several processes for fixing this issue with your dishwasher.

Do not run your Maytag dishwasher while hot water is being used in other parts of your home, such as washing clothes or showering. Hot water is needed for your Maytag dishwasher to properly clean dishes.

Run water in the sink in your kitchen until it gets very hot. Then, turn on your Maytag dishwasher. This will ensure that the water cleaning your dishes is the hottest possible temperature.

Clean your Maytag dishwasher to improve the cleaning results for dishes. Run your dishwasher on a short wash cycle and wait for it to fill up with water. Stop the cycle and add about 1/3 of a cup of rust remover to the dishwasher and finish the cycle. Run your Maytag dishwasher through one normal cycle with regular detergent to finish the cleaning process.

Check your detergent. Old detergent or those that have been exposed to moisture can be clumpy. This detergent will not clean your dishes as well when loaded into your Maytag dishwasher. Purchase fresh detergent.

Use extra detergent when washing dishes that have a lot of built-up grease or food particles. The extra amount of detergent is needed to get your dishes clean. Choose a long cleaning cycle to clean these dishes.

Fill your Maytag dishwasher properly. Dishes should not be stacked on top of each other or excessively crammed into your dishwasher. This will keep the dishwasher from adequately cleaning all areas of your dishes and from rinsing them thoroughly.

We have hard water at our home, but the new dishwasher leaves a thick film on the glasses. We use the rinse agent, but it's awful.

You have to buy a cartridge type water softener and attach it to the
inlet water line of your dish washer. In addition to this there must be
a salt compartment in the dish washer.
Refer the user guide /owners manual and locate. Fill it with the special
dish washer salt. ( Do not use kitchen salt used for food).
The dish washer salt may help to certain extent in softening the wash
tub water inside. Check the switch settings for rinse aid and salt
release settings in the machine. Refer manual!

My stainless steel dishwasher smells

You need to check to see if the drain line runs from the dishwasher pump to either a "T" on your kitchen sink drain or if it connects directly to the garbage disposal. Either connection is okay. However, water can run downhill from either connection to your dishwasher. To prevent dirty water from your sink or garbage disposal from running downhill to the dishwasher, you may have to install a dishwasher air gap. This can be purchased at a appliance parts store or a home improvement store like a Home Depot or Lowes. It is a "Y" shaped device that should be installed above the dishwasher drain line connection under the sink. As water will not run up hill, you need to make sure that the Air Gap is installed higher than the drain line's connection under the sink. "The Air Gap device should be mounted as high as you can under the sink."

Dishwasher smells like pond scum

I have the SAME problem with our dishwasher. It's disgusting. Between the fishy glasses and the garlicky ice cubes (NO, we don't have garlic in our refrigerator or freezer -- purchased ice doesn't smell), I'm embarrassed to pour our guests a glass of ice water!

Have a trouble: dish-washer will not drain.

I just moved into a new house and builder had provided a dish washer drain just below my kitchen drain line.

DIsh washer install was done by me, every thing worked out OK except dish washer would not drain after a wash cycle.

Cause: drain provided by builder was blocked and needed a circular small cut before mounting drain hose over it.
