Question about Sagem PVR 6280 Freeview DTV Receiver / 40-Hours Video Recorder

DIsplays 00-- after pressing OK for software upgrade

I foolishly pressed OK for a software upgrade. The display was immediately set to 00-- and there it stayed for the next five hours. Have tried disconnecting power overnight to no avail.
Please help!!!

    Left box on for a few hours yesterday morning and display changed to ERR 9 or something like that. I was then able to turn off the box - thank goodness. All seems to be okay although when it asked me if I wanted an upgrade I pressed EXIT quick.

    I had the same problem -waited for err9 to display then pressed the power off button on the remote and the sagem worked ok

    PVR seams to be "stuck" on 00-- after pressing OK to update? Unable to interupt update, and each time it is repowered same problem occurs.

PLEASE CAN SOMEONE PUT THE CODE UP FOR THIS SAGEM DIGITAL BOX DOING MY HEAD IN THERES ONLY THE ORIGINAL CHANNELS!!!!??????

Mine changed to the err 09 code , turned off and when turned on said upgrade installed

Frequently displays " Internal communication


Hi jesterr9 my name is Mike Houston of DISH Network Executive Office. When you receiver is showing internal communication and keeps resetting the can be a couple different things making this happen. It may not have the current software downloaded as well it may have a bad smartcard inside as well. The current software as of 1/12/11 for the VIP 211 is L5.61. To find the current software press the MENU button two times.

My HD PVR 101-ST has an error code: Er09 when i press th ''ok'' button it shows Er01 when i press ''ok'' it shows 00-- and after a while it shows ER09 again. If i pull the power cord it starts the same...


Hi, just got the same problem.
In my case it started not working well 4 days ago. Today I got a message on the screen asking whether I wanted to upgrade the software. I did and now I have this problem.
In my case I would say that canal digital customer service is quite bad

do a factory reset pin 0000 then re scan if that faills you need new coes ie go perental press ok then info then enter 2004 it will go to nav press ok drop down to key code 00 enter codes as folows useing on screen instructions 5c 2c 26 36 cf 81 ab 66
highlight key code 00 scroll left to key code 01 enter code as folows 9f 09 00 66 3b d2 43 8b then press ok

On Nagravision screen look down to make sure EMU is set to ON . press ok.
code screen Provider ID should be NTel 5401.
Key No 00

Key data change the codes saving each as entered. go back to the 00 tab and press right 01 and change the codes saving each as entered.exit out .

Sagem pvr 6200T UK freeview box, display frozen.


I left the box and went for a walk!!!

About four hours after having freezed an error 09 message came up on the set top display and then everything returned to normal, after an on TV screen message that update had been successful.!?!

No difference in in any operation of the freeview box.

Note to self and other users
DO NOT PRESS OK WHEN ASKED TO UPDATE SET TOP BOX.

Updating the channel tuning does seem to work ok, though I have to vary between where channel 4 can be found - or learn welsh!

Have questions about your upgrade? We've got the answers. What do I need to do to receive my upgrade? Nothing! Just make sure your DIRECTV HD DVR is continuously connected to your land-based phone line and you will receive the upgrade automatically. When will I receive my upgrade? The 6.3 software upgrade will roll out over a period of several weeks. Customers with more than one DIRECTV HD DVR may receive their upgrades at different times for each receiver. We appreciate your patience while we deliver these new and improved features to eligible DIRECTV HD DVR customers nationwide. Are all DIRECTV DVRs receiving this upgrade? No. DIRECTV DVR models SONY SAT-T60, PHILIPS DSR6000R and HUGHES GXCEBOT will not receive the 6.3 software upgrade. Other models received a similar upgrade, 6.2, in the past. I have a DIRECTV R10 DVR with 6.1 software. Will I receive this upgrade? No. The 6.1 software on the DIRECTV R10 DVR already includes the 6.2 features such as folders and faster menu scrolling. Will any of my DVR settings be changed as a result of the upgrade? Yes, some of your settings or preferences will be changed back to the factory default settings as a result of the upgrade.
