Bosch single wall ovens where is the thermal fuse located

Hi!

The location of the thermal fuse in a Bosch single wall oven may vary depending on the model, but it is typically located on the back of the oven.

To locate the thermal fuse, follow these steps:
  1. Turn off power to the oven: Before attempting any repairs, turn off the power to the oven by unplugging it or turning off the circuit breaker that supplies power to the oven.
  2. Remove the back panel: Locate the screws or bolts that hold the back panel of the oven in place and remove them using a screwdriver or socket wrench. Carefully remove the back panel to access the components inside the oven.
  3. Locate the thermal fuse: Look for a small, rectangular device with two wires attached to it. This is the thermal fuse. It may be located near the top or bottom of the back of the oven, depending on the model.
  4. Check the thermal fuse for continuity: Use a multimeter to check the continuity of the thermal fuse. Set the multimeter to the ohms setting and touch the probes to the two terminals of the thermal fuse. If the multimeter shows no continuity, the thermal fuse has blown and needs to be replaced.
  5. Replace the thermal fuse: If the thermal fuse has blown, replace it with a new one of the same rating. Install the new fuse in the same location as the old one and reattach the back panel of the oven.
  6. Test the oven: After replacing the thermal fuse and reassembling the oven, turn on power to the oven and test it to ensure that it is working properly.
If you are not comfortable working with electrical components or if you are unable to locate the thermal fuse in your Bosch single wall oven, it's recommended to seek the assistance of a qualified technician.

Kind regards

GE Trivection JT930SOH1 Oven, touch screen not lighting up

The thermal fuse in your GE Trivection JT930SOH1 oven is likely located behind the touch screen control panel. In order to access the thermal fuse, you will likely need to remove the control panel.
Before attempting to access or repair the thermal fuse, it's important to ensure that the oven is unplugged and that you have taken proper safety precautions, such as wearing gloves and eye protection.
Instructions to access the thermal fuse may vary depending on the specific model of your oven, so it's recommended to check the owner's manual for your oven or contact GE for instructions.
However, in general, you may be able to access the thermal fuse by first removing the control knobs and screws that secure the control panel in place. Then, you'll likely be able to lift the control panel off of the oven to access the thermal fuse.
It's important to note that the thermal fuse is a safety device, and it's designed to blow if the oven overheats. If the thermal fuse is blown, it will need to be replaced. If the fuse is not blown and the touch screen is still not lighting up, it could be a problem with the touch screen itself or a problem with the wiring or other electrical components of the oven.
It's recommended to contact a certified technician to diagnose and fix the problem.

How to check door switch for being bad

Hello Don;

My name is Peter. I am a retired field service appliance technician.

You need to purchase a multi-meter. This is a tool that will save you a lot of money in your self repair off all of your appliances. They Cost $20-25.00.

The two primary reasons your dishwasher may not start is your Bi-Metl thermal fuse and the door switch.

1.) Bi-Metl Thermal Fuse:
This is a thermal safety device that installs in the console. When the temperature inside the dishwasher gets too high, the bi-metal fuse burns out and breaks the circuit that allows electricity to flow to and from the main electric control board.
25344427-iz425fqh2xhxqmgetbjmjp4l-5-0.jpg
Substitution Part Number: W10258275 - Cost: $25.00
It is located next to your control board. Caution: Before touching you control board ground your self by rubbing your hands on bare metal. Static electricity will knock out a board.

a.) Turn power off at the breaker box.
b.) Disassembly the control panel to access the thermal fuse.
c.) Disconnect the two leads from the thermal fuse.
d.) With your multi-meter set on the lowest Ohms (Omega Symbol), put one meter lead on each contact.
e.) If your get a reading other than, '0' then the thermal fuse is bad.

2.) Door Switch:
This is located in you door handle assembly.
25344427-iz425fqh2xhxqmgetbjmjp4l-5-3.jpg
a.) Lift the switch off the two retaining pins.
b.) Disconnect the two contact wires.
c.) Using your multi-meter the same as above - hold the switch button in with the two meter leads on each contact. Here, you also are looking for '0' Ohms if the contact switch is good.

Dryer has power wont start

Hello Dom - Being that you have narrow down some possibilities, here are a few simple troubleshooting tips that may help you get to the root cause:

1. Make sure the dryer is plugged into outlet, and plugged in correctly.

2. Is house fuse blown or circuit breaker tripped? Replace fuse or re-set circuit breaker.
3. Make sure that electrical circuit is not overloaded and correct. The dryer must be on a circuit by itself. Overloaded circuits can damage the dryer and possibly cause damage to home. I would recommend reaching out to a Licensed Electrician check to make sure it is on a circuit by itself.

4. Thermal limiter tripped or an internal problem with the dryer. A thermal limiter automatically turns off the motor (electric dryers only) in the unlikely event of an overheated situation.A service technician must replace the thermal limiter after correcting the fault.

If these assessment measures prove to be ineffective, I would strongly suggest contacting an authorized service technician who would be better able to assist you in the diagnosis and repair of your unit. You can often locate an experienced technician in your area by going to the manufacturer website.

My lg gas dryer doesnt get hot.

Hi.

As first thing try replacing the thermal fuse.

The thermal fuse is located in the blower housing, near to the exhaust at the back of the dryer. The thermal fuse cost is only few dollars. Before replacement it can be tested reading Ohms with a multimeter. If the multimeter set on impedance reads infinite Ohms (No continuity, same as on air), then the fuse must be replaced. A good fuse must read low or zero impedance.

If the thermal fuse is OK, the next parts to test are the thermostats. On GE gas dryers there are at least two thermostats. One is a control of themperature, the other is an high limit. High limit is hosted on the blower housing, near to the thermal fuse. There is one or two thermostats near to the blower wheel. Often there is a safety thermostat near to the burner. To get details on the specific model check the schematics tucked inside the appliance or available online.
The thermostats are tested reading Ohms at room temperature. If any of them returns no continuity at room, then the thermostat is faulty and must be replaced.

If the thermostats and fuse are OK, then the next step is checking valve and igniter. The igniter or glowbar is tested energizing it and observing if there is spark. The valve is tested reading Ohms on solenoid with multimeter set at Rx1. If the solenoid has no continuity, then the valve is faulty. There is also a flame sensor that can be tested reading impedance or jumping its contacts.

If all the parts listed above are OK, then wiring and electronic timer control board must be tested reading voltages at contacts.

The problem is likely the thermal fuse or one of the thermostats.

Apart replacing the part, ensure that the hoses are not blocked , and that there is no lint inside the machine. This may have caused the fuse blowing.

Here a general diagram that can help you in identifying parts.

All tests must be done by a trained technician.

To get a technician on site , or to get a quote on repair ring the number listed on the owners manual. You can also get an US technician contact using our directory:Contacts.

To get parts ring GE at the number on manual.

Screen goes black, 5 blinking red lights, screen back on for 20 seconds....cycle continues

Let me first say that if you are getting 5 blinks its not the thermal fuse. Your problem is your Lamp. You have what we call an intermittent Lamp. The only way to fix this is to replace the lamp. Part Number A-1085-337-A. Average cost $217.00
