Question about Kingston (DTIU3/2GB) 2 GB USB Hard Drive

Regarding kingston flash drive

When I format kingson flash drive it says your flash drive is write protected. But I haven't write proteced it. why is that?

    DTI / 1GB ... ser: ch 030608... 04235-324.aoolf... china



    Tried to format it... it says "Write protected".



    Tried to remove the partition from it... same message.



    Tried to delete files from it... again it says "Write protected".



    Turned cacheing on and off... no good. I will try linux, if that doesnt do... i will break it open and see if it smells bad or something.

Dont break it open. use diskpart to force to clean it or diskmgmt.msc or get gparted live iso and boot from it

My Kingston 8gb dataTraveler isnt changing its name when i rename it. what can i do?


check it write protecting lock in on simply off the write protection and change the name
you can also rename device during format or by internal command
label

My Kingson 2GB pendrive showing unknown device message after connecting. i cant format it or read it.


Does it work in another machine? If not its a write off, if it does you have a corrupt Windows.

kingston is not good USB.....it is easy to be write protected.......difficult to solve

KINGSTON USB 2.0 4 GB IS WRITE PROTECT. I want to format it, but a write protect problem is generated in.

Flash Disk problem

Try it on another computer or try to format it. If it continues to give that message then you need to get it replaced at the reseller or with Kingston.
