Question about Canon Printers & Copiers

Hello! I onw a Canon MultiPass MP700 printer (copy, scan and print) and I recently changed one of the 4 catridges and replaced it by a compatible one (BCI-3eM bought at Staples) as usual. I have never been able to make it work since the display shows the message 'wrong catridge'. What could be the source of this error message beside a wrong catridge? Thanks for your support.     I have bought a new one and got the same message...



    I found a print head for 36$. I'll give it a try...

Erm... the cartridge is wrong. There is not much more one can do to communicate the fact the cartridge is the problem.

Throw out the compatible one you bought - or if you want a refund, return it the store as faulty - and get a replacement. I suggest a genuine one since you had the problem with a faulty compatible (up to 30% of compatibles can be faulty)

I bet you a Fixya rating that once you replace the cartridge for a correct genuine item, your message will go away and your printer will once again be happy.

Canon MP700 - Wrong Cartridge


Hello !

Many cartridges now have expiration date chips built into them. So, since you mentioned that the cartridges are "old", they may have expired. Check the date.

Will not print canon multipass f60


in colour printers tat too in canon the printer will work only if both the color and black catridges r filled with ink otherwise it wont work

Lines appearing across printed photographs


Normal 0 Driver could be corrupt.
Disconnect the printer or at least be sure it is turned off. I'd do both and reinstall the CD software program that came with the printer. When the software program asks you to connect the printer to the USB port, do so and it should again work properly.

Copier Mode - will only copy in colour.


Electronic problem possibly. Contact manufacturer or simply replace it if bought new.

you'll need the English language drivers of course..see this link to begin that process..you may need to uninstall the old copy first, though.

Canon MultiPASS MP700


I had the same problem. My 4 year old MultiPASS MP700 started banding magenta stripes across everything I printed.
I suspected the cyan printhead was clogged because the printhead tests showed two of the cyan columns as half missing.
Canon was less than helpful. I went off of my suspicion that I needed a new printhead. I found one from an online supplier for 50 bucks...better price than a new printer! I put the new print head in and it works like new.

Canon Multipass MP700


When trying to print color documents or photos using our Canon MultiPASS 700, the photo or document will have stripes all the way through it. It has also developed a problem of having fine lines that do not print when we are printing a black and white document.
