If none of the other fixes work then backup all of your documents on hat user account and delete it and make a new account and if none of these things work then back everything up again and re-instal windows

Switch to ubuntu (or at least dual boot to it)! they're aren't any "blue screens of death" over here! they're aren't any "drivers" for you to "load up" on either. the OS simply recognizes any hardware changes at boot up and "takes care" of them automatically. well... MOST of the time, anyway.

for example if you have an active internet connect at boot ubuntu loads that up through your connectivity hardware and automatically sets your system clock to "atomic" time. and it does all this without you even being aware of it. nothing fancy, no fanfare. its quick. its robust. and it just works.

I think you installed two sound card or your computer have a built-in motherboard sound card and a pci sound card or this can be a TV turner card which is not intailizing so main system control get corrupts - remove the pci device and restart the pc then install the audio driver and check the IQR resource and it properties working fine. Check on the chip of the tv tuner card and install only the driver manually - if you run from setup it will agian corrupt your sound sys/ audio sys

right click my computer click properties hardware->devicedriver you can see under multimedia controller right click and run the installation, please put the cd inside your computer cd rom drive

"when i log on to my account"
Depending on what this is, if everything else on your computer works fine, the trouble is caused by logging on to whatever this account is. It seems to crash the audio driver.

Suggestion: Update your audio driver to the most current version.

Not exactly sure, but it seems that you should uninstall and reinstall you sound drivers. They may have become corrupt or it may point to hardware failure.
