I think U R using Nero 7.0 or higher. There is a Facilty (in Control Panel) called Nero BurnRights which is perhaps blocking U to burn a CD. It may be possible that U R not the System Administrator and the real Administrator has prohibited permission to burn CD. Anyway, try burning the CD using Windows in-built Burner. Just drag Files/Folders from UR HDD to CD. A Ballon will appear in System Tray. Click on the Ballon and try to burn.

If you are talking about problem with your password

You need to prepare:
1:A blank CD/DVD or USB flash drive
2.A computer which can link to internet
3.A program called Windows Password Recovery 6.0

Get started with this 3 simple steps:
Website: http://lost-password.net/products/windowspasswordrecoery.html
Step 1 - Download windows password recovery utility and install it.
Step 2 -Burn your Windows Password Reset CD:
To burn your CD, you'll need a blank CD-R and the .ISO file of Windows Password Reset.
Step 3 - Put in your newly created CD and remove your Windows password.
hope this helps

NEED HARD DRIVE PASSWORD

Remove a small coin sized CMOS battery to store all BIOS settings along with the password. To reset the password, unplug the PC, open the cabinet and remove the CMOS battery for approx. 15-30 minutes and then put it back. It'll reset all BIOS settings as well as the password and you'll need to re-enter all settings.

Under the keyboard or bottom of laptop - If you are working on a laptop computerthe location of the dipswitch (almost never a jumper) can be under the keyboard or on the bottom of the laptop in a compartment such as the memory compartment.

If it fails, then try to remove the battery for at least one hour.

Where do you get the drivers for MATSHITA CD-RW CW-7586

Windows NT and 2000 and XP and Vista and 7 have "built-in" device-drivers for all CD-ROM, CD-writers, DVD-ROM, and DVD-writer devices. So, there's no need to "download" nor "install" any device-driver.

If you want _FREE_ software to help you create/burn disks, access: http://WWW.MajorGeeks.com and search for 'AShampoo Burning 6'. This is _FREE_ software that works fine.

I've nero start smart7,I've updated it many times & also installed the new version. but still I M not able 2 burn a cd/dvd. please help me sir..

Spend $40 to buy a replacement CD/DVD reader/writer,
since it costs more than that to try to "trouble-shooting" a malfunctioning CD/DVD writer.

Can play dvd but can't burner nero 9 and deep burner samsung writemaster does't show up as burner

i believe what you have is a dvd player/cd writer.this means you can play dvd's and burn only on cd's(not dvd's).so you may have to upgrade to a dvd writer drive.with this you can burn dvd's using nero 9.

Remove write protection from portable drives

i too also have that same problem with my sdcard reader/writer with a sdmemorycard 1gb. the only solution that i found was to replace the reader/writer itslef.

what specific medium gives you this problem? storage drives and memorysticks dont usually have problems like this. only the ones which have a detacheable memory.

so my advice to you, if you are having the same problem, look for a replacement. that will be the only solution.
