My N97 won't Switch on and won't charge on the cable is good as I have tried it with other phone can anyone help please

First Option:
mostly nokia chargers doesn't make problems...
just try the following..
connect ur mobile with a system (usb cable)...
found out whether it is charging or not...
if the same prblm appears then there is a prblm in ur cell phone or power jack(socket)...
if it charged with usb cable buy a new charger
Please change Phone Bettery and check the charging
IF Charging Problem not Solved So


Second Option:
Your Phone charging IC Fault So Please change charging IC
And charging Problem will Solved Quickly

Please check your battery, it might have already been damaged. My battery was already bloated, and hard to put the back cover when I encountered the same problem. You may also borrow a battery, from a friend just to verify it. Before checking the battery, I did some verification using a known good nokia charger from a friend, and still could not charge it.
P.S. I replaced my battery after using my N97 for more than 3 years.

The problem with your phone is the charging port, the charging port of your phone is bad and will need to be replaced.

Replace the charging port and your phone will charge.

Hi, the problem is with either the phone charger or the charging port IC.. First of all, change your charger and see if the problem will still repeat itself, if it does, then you have to take the phone to a phone technician to change the charging IC.....

Have had many similar issue with Nokia phones & PC Suite connections - works fine then stops - in add remove programs there is an entry called PC Connectivty Solution - it does not say Nokia unless you go change then it says Nokia - remove this, the Nokia suite & Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver - restart PC, switch off phone, remove battery, switch on, reinstall and it should work.
