Question about RIM BlackBerry 7290

Inactive 7290 controls

When i enter my password, my 7290 shows "organizing call logs". i cant dial numbers or do anything. my controls dont work any more.

I have Blackberrry 7290 RIM and it was working very well from last 4 years but, suddenly before a couple of days, wireless is not catching the signals once i restart the wireless it appears good and after a minute the signals has been gone and wireless shows no connectivity, what i believe there is no hardware matter there is some problem in software of rim. i wipe the handset twice but, still the same problem.

Have you rebooted it? If so, and it didn't work, have you reset it completely? Are you running the most recent software on it from RIM? There could be a few issues here.

Try resetting the box by unplugging the cord next to the green (sometimes red) light it briefly and then return the plug into the box.

There is an hack, but endorsed by Microsoft, which uses a specialized "screen saver" that performs application kill and logout. You'll need to download the Win2000 Kit from MS site, then this is the walkthrough:

Well i just started here i need to change greetings, and passwords for voicemail boxes..no one currently working here knows anything about it....how do i do this?


How to Change a Mailbox Password 1. To access the voice mail system press "Feature".
2. Press "983".
3. When you see "Log:" enter "120000" for 2 digit extension numbers, enter "1020000" for 3 digit extension numbers.
4. Press "OK".
5. Press "MBOX".
6. Press "CHNG".
7. Enter the mailbox number you wish to reset.
8. Press "Reset".
9. Press "Rls" to exit (orange button to the right of the number buttons).
Default password is "0000".

After you dial Feature 9 8 1 and type in the password, if you press the number 8, this will get you into the admin for your mailbox; where you can change the password, name, and greeting, just listen to the prompts.

I have a problem with voice mail with a meridian hooked to NT5806DA-93. The system on voice mail every second pulse off so that only half of each message is played at a half second interval


Voicemail Features Norstar Common To Check Your Voicemail:
1. Press the Check Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 981
2. Enter your password
3. From here you can listen to messages, change your greeting, change your password, etc.
To Leave a Message for Someone in Your Office:
1. Press the Leave Message key or Feature 980
2. Enter the mailbox number (extension number. of the person you want to leave a message for
3. The display will show the name of the mailbox owner, press OK
4. Leave message
To Access Your Voicemail box from Another Phone:
1. Press the Check Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 981
2. Press the OTHER softkey
3. At the LOG: prompt, enter your mailbox#(extension #. and your password all together followed by the "#" sign
4. Press the OK softkey
To Access Your Mailbox from Outside of the Office:
1. Call the main office number or your DID (if applicable.
2. If the call is answered by a receptionist, have them transfer you to your voicemail box
3. If the call is answered by the company greeting, or your personal greeting, Enter: * *
4. At the prompt, enter your mailbox #(extension #. and password all together
To Transfer Someone to a Voicemail Box:
1. Press the Transfer to Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 986
2. Enter the mailbox # (extension#.
3. The display will show: Call Transferred
To Change Your Personal Greeting:
1. Press the Check Voicemail key or press the Feature button, then 981
2. Enter your password
3. Press the ADMIN softkey
4. Press the GREET softkey
5. Press the REC softkey
6. Press the PRIME softkey
7. Press the YES softkey
8. At the tone, record your new greeting, press the OK softkey to end your recording and then the OK softkey again to accept the new recording
To Record Your Alternate Greeting (Used when on vacation or out of the office.:

3. Press the ADMIN softkey
4. Press the GREET softkey
5. Pres the REC softkey
6. Press the ALT softkey
7. Press the YES softkey

12. Display will show: "Accept msgs: Y", Press the OK softkey to have your voicemail box accept messages while your Alternate Greeting is turned on, or press the CHNG softkey to change the "Y" to an "N" if you do not want your voicemail box to accept messages.
13. When you return to the office, make sure you go back into your voicemail box and have it play the PRIME greeting
Norstar Voicemail Administrative Programming Programming must be done from any M7310, T7316, or M7324 model phone set.

Cant log in windows!


Restart the computer and as soon as it starts booting up start tapping on F8 key on your keyboard.
The computer would show you advanced boot options.. select "Safe mode" from the list.
When it asks for Administrator's password, leave the password blank and hit enter .. If you have not set any password for the safemode (normally many users don't) then it would log you on and you can go to the control panel and reset the administrator's password or you can even create a new user profile.
Once you complete the above process, restart the computer and let it boot normally.
Now try logging in with the new password or the new user account that you might have created while in the safe mode.

To Log Into System Administration:

2. You will hear the old recorded name and then the system will "beep", prompting you to record a new name (name only here, not greeting..
3. Press "Ok" in the window when you are done recording and then "Ok" again to accept the recording
