Traulsen 30 x 80 two door refridge- runs loud

It is seven years old and was just moved (on its side) to my place this evening. When I plugged it in it was incredibly loud. The past owner told me to unplug ity and let it stand for 2-8 hours but that hasn't helped at all.  I am in NYC. Please help. thanks in advance

This is bad. you have one of 2 things going on if the noise is a rattleing in the compressor that is like viborating it,s probably a broken or unhooked support spring no fix could be also the oil left when it was on its side fi thats the case its still in the system run it and hope it comes back befor the compressor sets up one last thing did you check to see if its just a fan blade hitting somethig? dan

My refridge isnt cold enough but my freezer isthe fan sounds like its running and the condenser is on. also the fan/condenser are never turning off by them self

This has happened in my GE side-by-side (model GSS20IEMDWW). For me, the problem was caused by a faulty temp sensor in the fresh food side. That sensor never signalled the computer that the temp in the fresh food side was cool enough, so the compressor ran constantly.

Since the compressor was running constantly, the evaporator coils (back wall of the freezer compartment) eventually iced over (took about a week). Since the fan that draws air over the evaporator coils could no longer move any air (due to the icing), the temperature in the fresh food side continued to climb. (The fresh food side is chilled through a hole with a motorized door at the top of the dividing wall, so if no air is moving in the freezer compartment, temps in the fresh food compartment climb.)

I replaced the temp sensor in the fresh food side and solved the problem for a while. About six months later I had the same problem again, so I replaced both temp sensors in the freezer compartment - which solved the problem again. (My fridge is about seven years old.)

If you are going to replace any of the temp sensors, replace them all under the principle of "if one failed, the rest will soon fail too".

Use a website like www.partselect.com to look up a parts diagram for your fridge and see if you can order just the temp sensors. Other websites (www.repairclinic.com and www.appliancepartsworldwide.com) may also be helpful. I have no affiliation with any of the sites I just mentioned - I'm just posting them as resources.

Refridge door does not close evenly on my side by

Top hinges can swing right to left slightly when all 3 screws are loosened under removable cover. Use a 5/16 nut driver. Hinge cover may be phillips, 1/4" or 5/16".However, fridge case must be level left and right first. Level fridge with adjusters behind toe kick cover. Once level, you can adjust gap between doors with top hinge movement. Keep in mind that this is a man-made product and you may not get the doors exactly straight due to lose manufacturing tolerances.

Whirlpool side by side (106.56692501). Refrig was not cooling but freezer is. Freezer is slowly heating up though. Unit is still running. It just isn't blowing air into the refrigerator.

You have ice in freezer fins. You need to remove back panel inside of freezer, melt all the ice replace panel, plug refridge back in. The ice causes bad airflow to the refridge side, causing to heat up.

Comppresor stoped working

Go to the back of the machine and take the lower rear plate off. Taking this plate off will expose the compressor. Check to see the compressor is humming or is hot. If niether take off the relay (located on the side of the compressor) Shake it and if a loud rattling noise is heard replace it. If no rattling noise or the compressor is hot or humming then the compressor is bad.

Traulsen 30" two door frodge 7 years old (just moved today)

Compressors don't like to be laid down, the rotor swims in lube that is disturbed when horizontal.

If the compressor isn't ruined, the noise could emanate from the fan that most units have, sometimes two; one to circulate air around the fins, another to stir air inside.
Pull the plug on the fridge while it is running and try to listen to the character of the noise before it stops.

If it is very rapid; I suspect the compressor is history.
If it makes kind of a singing noise while coming to a stop, it could be fan blades hitting something.

Compressor making a loud noise, freezer cannot cool

It sounds to me like the internal relief valve is lifting due to discharge pressure being to high such as it a system that is over charged with refrigerant. Have the system tested for pressures on high and low sides. If someone has serviced this unit recently there may be to much of a charge in the system. Also check the name place for the proper refrigerant and charge .

Have a 2 year old SAMSUNG RS2545SH Side by Side

Control board has gone bad....

What happens is the defrost is controlled electronically from a circuit board, when this goes bad, the freezer quits defrosting, and freezes the fans that circulate air through the fridge side of things.

To check this, unplug the entire fridge, leave the freezer open, wait for it to defrost a bit, if this causes the fridge to start cooling again when you plug it back in, then its the defrost. You should also see ice crystals on the back of the freezer just under the icemaker.

Frigidaire side by side refridge

pull the kick plate off under the doors. if you look in behind the kick plate youll see alot of dust build up. this area needs to be cleaned once a year to keep air flowing properly over the condenser coils. if the dust build up is minimal then remove back panel of refrigerator and make sure the fan is running behind the refrigerator. if not, or if running real slow replace the fan motor. the heat is the because the condenser is getting too hot. it needs to be fix or the compressor life will be greatly shortend
