My Toshiba Satellite U405 laptop repeatedly freezes up, preventing me from moving the cursor or doing anything. This is usually followed by a loud beep and then my only option is to manually turn it off and back on. This most often happens in the mornings after I initially turn it on. After enduring this process a few times, the computer wil often work fine for the remainder of the day. Anyone have a solution?

The beep you hear is a BIOS Beep Code. The computer's way of telling you something is wrong, and a general area to look into for it.
A short repeated beep over a long period, usually indicates a Ram Memory problem.
Remove ALL power to the notebook. Remove the AC adapter (Charger), and Battery. Suggest you remove all ram memory modules, and clean the gold plated contact pins at the bottom.
Use a pencil eraser. If using an eraser on the end of a pencil, and not a solid eraser, refrain from letting the metal band touch the contact pins. Reinstall the ram memory module/s.
Reinstall the Battery, then the AC adapter. WAIT 1 minute, then turn the notebook on.
