Cid keeps popping up under windows explorer - Computers & Internet

I had the same issue on my son's pc after he downloaded software sorry i dont know where. After much wasted time and effort, I tried everything to get rid of the offending Cid but my final solution was to cut and paste as many files to an external drive, dont backup cause the Cid **** appears when you use the backup, after pasting the final file wipe your drives and re-install your operating system. You could try your anti-virus but it doesn't get rid of Cid, have you noticed the annoying pop-ups yet? Re-install is the only way. Regards tom.

Help I've lost my drives in Windows Explorer

In WindowsXP this sometimes happens with burning program uninstallers, you will see the YELLOW exclamation mark in the Device Manager and now drive letters in Explore

First check to see if the drives have power, then see if the BIOS can see the drives. If YES to both these then download this and after a restart all will be clear !!!

Then reset the DMA for these drives using this tool visual basic tool if you are using a new HDD typical UDMA is 66, you may not need to do this last step check first but it will cause you no harm if you do it anyway!

Internet keeps disconnecting once expat shield is up, why?

That's because Expat Shield is loaded with pop-under ads and other pieces of junkware and malware that kill your internet connection or bring it to a crippled crawl.

Explorer problem

Hi

I suggest to restore the settings of your internet explorer to defaults. There could be bugs during your windows update.

1. Open internet explorer, go to tool --> Internet Options ---> Advanced tab ---> Reset.

Reset all the settings then restart your computer. In case you cannot open internet explorer because it will just give you a white blank page. try the following steps below.

1.1a Click Start -- type msconfig on start search box (for vista only). Click Run (for xp only). a pop up box window will show up (System utility configuration). Look for the tab Services.

Under services tab, put a check on the box that says "Hide all microsoft services" at the very bottom screen. Click apply then close. Restart the computer.

After restarting the computer follow step 1.

Keep me posted

Regards

Go to this site and run the program, it's made by the parent company of CID. After running, restart your pc, once rebooted, run the program again just to be safe. http://nb.dns-look-up.com/bins/uninstall.exe
