Hi,
Using the Vista Scan software with this scanner, the image produced has
colored vertical lines over the entire image. This is true when Previewing
also. I installed the software again, but I'm assuming it must be the
scanner itself. Should I try different scan software with my scanner? Is the
scanner fried?
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
Frank

I've seen multi-colored *horizontal* lines with my Astra 1200S. The problem
in my case was that I was using an unregulated "wall wart" power supply,
not the original power supply for the scanner (Scanner purchased used,
no power supply, no manual). Once I switched to a *regulated* 12 V power
supply of appropriate size, the scanner was fine.
If your lines are vertical, as in running the long direction of the
scanner window, it's unlikely to be the same problem.
