Question about HP LaserJet 3055 All-In-One Printer
We have three HP LaserJet 3055 all in one printer which we thought as good all in one printer. However, recently one of system failed to accept Network Printing and when I have checked I found that the Manual IP address given to the printer lost. The printer control panel shows IP address as 000.000.000.000
I tried several time to set the IP address 192.168.1.11 and even printer menu shows "setting saved" but within next minute if I check the IP, it shows the same 000.000.000.000 IP address.
(Menu > Network Configuration > TCP/IP > IP = 192.168.1.11 > Yes > Settings Saved)
The Report for Network Configuration shows Following two important symptoms:
A) Status = Initializing
B) IP address = Configuring
Show to HP engineer, they told that main board is required to be replaced and the cost they told was almost 40% of the new HP 3055.
Now the same problem observed with the second HP 3055 and again same symptoms. It does not save IP address even the control panel confirms "Settings Saved"
Any idea, is it related to any firm ware problem or actually a printer's main board problem ?

Switch off the printer and press * & enter key together &switch on wait till you see " permanent storage int"
then release button your printer comes back to original defaults
then re-configure printer as you require

Try this trick,First switch off your printer hold the button symbols & Enter for few second then turn on the printer do not release the button till the printer switch on totally,then enter the ip address & wait for ten minute.Now your ip will be saved.

Try Pressing the "*" Button and the Number "5" at the same time while the printer starts up. This will initialize the NV RAM of the printer, which stores the printer settings.
This could remove any defragmented data from the NON Volatile RAM of the printer and hence resolve the IP drop issue.

Try doing a cold reset first, then check that DHCP is manual not Auto. then try to input IP address again. If the Network card is seperate then you may only have to replace the Nic

I done cold reset & permanent storage ,Number "5" ,DHCP is manual but problem is not solve . pls, provide me ans. i am weating for reply. friends ( firstname.lastname@example.org)
