Question about Sony Handycam DCR-TRV460 Digital Camcorder
I have a TRV-460 handcam which has just started to exhibit a strange problem, and i am trying to ascertain whether to bother fixing it or replace it. The Auto exposure seems to have stopped working. Out of Doors or in bright places, the picture is extremely overexposed, and needs to be adjusted manually. (Manual adjustment works ok) This problem exhibits on the LCD, and also on the captured video. Indoors, or in dimly lit areas, the exposure is ok, so i am assuming something is wrong with the light sensor? I have tried the "reset" button but this did not help. can anyone tell me if this a common problem and is it fairly cheap to repair? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Its not common problem in Sony cameras. I think, aparture got stuck but I wont advice you to repair it by yourself. Contact nearest Sony Service Center for good repair.
