How do I set a ringtone for a certain person?

I want to set a ringtone for one person, but I only want it for that person.
I only know how to set a tone for everyone on my list. Please help me, I would greatly appreciate it.

When you save a ringtone, I've found that mine only show up when saved under 'My Documents', no subfolders. So save it there, and then go to 'Contacts'. Select your contact and push 'Menu' > 'Edit'. Scroll way down and you'll see 'Custom Ringtone'. Your ringtone should be in that list.

Hi, how can I add a special ringtone to certain contacts on my LG KU990i? TIA

(answering myself!)
you can associate ringtones and photos with a caller, but only if the caller's details are in the phone memory, not on the SIM card.

easy when you know how!

Ringtone for contact is not working

If it is only one person, it is because the phone they are using is not supported by the network they are on. Can't do anything about it. It is the only way I know my wife is calling. Ironically, I have her on speed dial and it works everytime. If this is helpful, please post as such.

Set ringtones for text messages

You all can try this

I simply opened my computer on my pc's desktop, then opened mobile device, then opened mobile device again, and then just copied and pasted the ringtones we had made on our pc for our old motorolla phones into the ringtones folder on the phone, and they are mixed, some mp3 some wav and even some aac, and they all work, then she just went into contacts, and picked the ringtone she wanted for each person. Hope this helps!

To set a ringtone for a caller their numbers have to be saved to your phone not your sim card. But sometimes certain ringtones won't work and i don't know why.

G1 Tone Problems

Like most (if not all) phones. when setting a ringtone you can only select the song you want ! the only way to have a certain part of a song as your ringtone would be to use Audio editing software on a PC and then crop the song how you want. enabling you to have a ringtone of a certain part of the song.

hope this helps
