Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

I bought new speakers and they echo really badly. Also, I bought a new pair of headphnes/mic and maybe I should have read the box but for some reason its like the mic broadcasts ALL the time..as in like i can hear my breathing amplified. its weird I can even hear my mouse and keyboard clicks in the headphones. Is there something wrong or did I just buy the wrong type of headphones?

Hi,
double click your volume control in the system tray, click options/click properties/ the checkbox box opens, study in here, microphone should be checked now playback screen check microphone should be checked , exit out by click outside the box , double click vol control again, the microphone lever should be visible, adjust , also maybe youll have an advanced button show up under there, click it and an extra gain control button may show up , try clicking or unclicking it and see what that does,
You may have a secondary audio program running in the system tray, which has echo and surround options my emachine came with that and I just disabled it in msconfig, I just use the standard windows drivers and volume, write me back if you need a msconfig walk through or that didnt get it. msconfig- Its not for the faint of heart.

Friends hear echo when headset is on in x-box live party chat

I had the same exact problem with a brand new x32 headset. right out of the box it was echoing for my friends. Also, if I muted my mic it would kill the chat volume (ie barely even audible). I switched the voice to play through speakers and it worked flawlessly after that.

Not sure if it is a hardware issue with my controller (my other headset worked just fine) or if it is a defective cable I received, or a design flaw with the x32. If you are looking for a work around, try setting it to play through speaker.

I just received my RSQ-echo 2000 karaoke machine. When I plug a mic into the front 2 mic inputs, they both have echo, even tho I turned off the echo volume in the back. I assumed that by turning it all...

The control supposedly controls the mix of the echo... this is a reverb type sound. Please note that room acoustics AND if the mic's "hear" the speaker in this, it may create an echo that is NOT under control of the adjustment. Make sure the mic's cannot "hear" the speaker or a reflection off a wall.

I have a Connex 4600 Turbo mounted in the headliner of a W900L Kenworth using Wilson 2000 twin antennas and a RK56 mic. When trying to use the "talk-back" feature all I hear is constant...

Strange. You shouldn't have a squealing problem with an RK56 noise canceling mic.

Unfortunately there is no way to change the volume of the talkback. Its too loud. The only solution is to turn the mic gain down.

The only reason you need to have talkback on is to check your audio. Make sure the echo is good and what not. After that you really don't need it on. So turn down the mic gain, then check the echo, then turn off the Talkback and turn the gain back up.

The squeal is feedback from the talkback being to loud and being heard by the mic. So the only way to solve it is to lower the volume of the talkback, (Which is not possible in this radio) lowering the mic gain(which lowers your audio level) or turning it off.

Feed back thru external speaker, very bad

Have your antenna checked at a place that knows what they're doing. If your antenna system is bad, ground problem, coax bad mount or maybe just a wrong or bad antenna. Then the sounds not getting out the antenna and its feeding back thur the radio. If your echo board was bad then your radio wouldn't transmitt at all.
If you unplug your external speaker will it squeal? If not do the antenna and if that reads fine just try a better speaker like a uniden 20watt speaker.I own a CB shop and this is easy to fix.

A6700y HP PC sound is tinny echo. I've adjusted all settings, changed speakers, won't correct problem.

Maybe your microphone is on and giving feedack of what it hears. Try disconnecting it and let us know what it did. Also once a pair of headphones ( believe or not ) cted like weak microphones. When you tapped them, big speakers made the sound. There was a dual plug for both large speakers and headphones to be connected to the green sound out. Anyway, tell us what it did after you disconnected the mic.

HP vs 15 the built in speakers echo

Do you have a microphone? If you do, and it is near the speakers, it will echo a lot. Also, check your soundcard settings. If there is an option for room ambience or environment effects, make sure you have them disabled.
