Hi, I recently purchased a Uniden 2645 cordless +1 , the first problem is when we took a call and the handset was away from the base you would talk for between 5-10 mins and it would come up with out of range . I had a look on FAQ's and and took the advice to reset by removing batteries and reset by pressing * and # when re inserting batteries and the pressing top right soft key to clear ram , this worked ok for handset 1 , but when I tried handset 2 it cme up with please register then registering then registration failed. please help what do I do next? thanks Max

The phone is still dropping out into out of range after about 5 minutes talking. Has any body else had this problem with this model phone?
Telephone rings. I pick up to answer and it says "connecting." I press answer button and I'm not able to answer. Headset says "out of area," but the call is being made from less than five miles away.

We purchased the Uniden DXI 8560-2 set. We are also having problems of the phone going dead during a phone conversation. The manual says to move the base to a closer location. We have had Uniden phones before and never had this problem. Why is the range so much shorter now. Could it be because of the 2nd phone in this unit?
The problem of phone not registering is sorted, I simply put that hand piece(2) into base station and it registered straight away, as for the "out of range" problem, we have not had a long enough call today to know yet , hopefully resetting to factory settings helped.
