Question about Canon LASER SHOT LBP-5200 Printer
We have old printer with new network card in our branch office. Previously this printer using a usb connection to operate. I want to install this printer as a network printer.
I perform the installation from hq/outside office.
I cannot complete the installation because can't find the printer in DHCP list.
I already install the printer driver and the internet connection is ok.
I have restart again and again and still cant find the printer in dhcp list.
What should I do?
You should check the firewall settings. Both AVG and Vista firewalls treat the printer as a foreign network, rather than a device. You can go into the settings in either and nominate the printer as a device. It will then display on the network for selection as a printer.
