Lift the document table [as if you were going to replace an ink carrtidge]. On the extreme left hand side of the unit [viewed from the front] a narrow channel can be seen. This is where the usb cable sits. At the end of the channel, which curves towards the centre of the machine, is the usb socket [not visible from directly above i]t. Plug the squarer end of the usb cable firmly into place and press the cable into the channel so the document table can be returned tio the closed position. jfm.

Re hp 1315 all in one the printer does not ge switched on after connecting the power cord. is there any electrical fuse which has blown off. if yes where is it located

Make sure you power cord is plugged in tightly on both the wall outlet and the transformer. Make sure the plug from the transformer is plugged tightly into the printer. If all this looks good check the outlet, or switch outlets. Then replace the power cord. If you have access to another PSC1315 try using its transformer.

The long and short of this is there is no fuse in the printer its self. If all the above fail, in all likely hood, you have a bad printer. At the price of these printers today, replacing it will probably cost you less than the ink you purchase for it.

I have a psc 1315 all in one printer. When I turn it on it shows it has paper and no errors. When I go to print it won't feed in the paper and just goes into error mode and says check paper. I have the...

try resetting the printer:

  1. Turn on the PSC 1315 by pressing the "On/Resume" button until it lights up. Ensure the printer's USB cable is securely plugged into the back of the machine and the attached computer.
  2. Remove the power cord from the back of the printer. Do not unplug the other end of the power cord from the power outlet.
  3. Press the power cord back onto the metal plugs located on the back of the printer. Make sure you insert the power cord completely into the plug area to ensure a proper connection.

  4. Press the "On/Resume" button on the printer's control panel until it lights up. Allow the printer to complete its warmup process.

  5. Attempt to print with the device if no error messages are displayed.

I have done as many online forums have requested and none of them seem to work. I still am getting the "ink system failure" notice. Do you know how to fix this problem?

Hi

Please try this step...

Take the ink cartridges and the printheads out
Disconnected all the cables from the back of the printer
Connect the power cord directly to the walljack (Please don't use the surge protector or extention cord)
While the printer is unplugged, press and hold # & 6 together on the printer
Hold them for 30 seconds and then plug the power cord in the printer while holding the buttons
Release the buttons after 6 secs of plugging the power cord
Then the printer would as you to select the language and location
Then printer would do it normal procedure like it does when you use the printer for the first time
This particular step would reset the printer back to the factory settings
Hope it would resolve the issue... if the issue still persists then its the issue with the printer hardware which cannot be fixed without putting the printer apart

All the best!!

I dont know where the Dell 725 Printer Power Cord goes into the tower Which outlet on the tower

The Dell 725 printer power cord does NOT plug in to the tower. The Video Cable, on the other hand, plugs in to the tower's video output. Look for a connector like the one from the printer (often USB these days) to plug it in to the computer. There was a diagram that came with the computer that showed how to do all the connections, and the Power Cord does NOT plug in to the tower. USB connections are in various locations on your computer's tower, in the back and sometimes in the front too.

Readoout says

1. Turn machine OFF and unplug electrical cord from wall or power strip.
2. Turn ON printer without the power cord plugged in (this will discharge the power capaciter in the printer).
3. Plug electrical power back in and turn on printer...
4. It should have reset.

Another possibility:
The scanner arm has the physical "lock" switch in the locked possition. Turn OFF printer and move the switch to the unlock position. Turn on printer.
This switch is for whenever the printer is moved to a different location and will protect the scanning bar.

Hope this helps!

Printer wont turn on

First things to check are that the power cord is properly plugged in and the socket it turned on (yes, sounds obvious but has caught me out in the past).

Beyond that, if your cable has a fuse in the plug, check that... try a different power cord and obviously check that the socket does indeed work.

Locating a working power socket and new cable that you know works and then seeing if that gives you any juice is the only other option... If that doesn't work your printer would appear to be in printer heaven.

Cannot locate plug-in for power cord

On the two lexmark printers that I have, the power cord is at the bottom of the printer and the USB port is straight above it at the top of the printer...both in the back. No dumb questions in this website..good luck..if you need me too I will check out the manual for your particular model.

Please rate this solution before logging out.
