Question about Acer Aspire 5100 Notebook
I am a real **** when it comes to handling my acer aspire 5100, throwing it around, pouring water on it, bending the screen etc. However, up until recently my laptop worked perfectly (seems to be really durable), but I recently spilled some orange juice on the laptop screen and got a pixel thin vertical blue line appearing sort of on the right of the screen.
Due to the symptoms, I immediately realized it was not a software problem but a line fault and is a problem with the edge connector cable, I resolved to get it fixed on guarentee.
Too bad they wont take it, citing that I broke the screen and they aren't at fault.
I heard one can replace a laptop screen for 300$ or so at some retailers, i would like to find these retailers.
Do you know of anyone in the Kitchener/Waterloo area, or even south Ontario, that could help me?
I need an answer from someone who has done this before, so that they can help me make an easier time of it.
