Wind disable means you're in the bobbin winding mode. The chrome shaft on the right end of the top of the machine is pushed to the right. Push the (bobbin winder) shaft to the left side of the slot and you should be able to sew again.

My machine wont make stitches . What could be wrong ?

We don't have much information to go on, like how is it not stitching. Is the machine actually functioning (needle going up & down, feed dogs moving, is the motor working, is it acting like it's stitching but the threads are not forming a stitch?)

Digital display shows bobbin wind. Bobbin wind spindle moves slightly. When depress foot pedal, stitches for only a minute- stops. Cannot select any stitches as menu display remains on bobbin wind.

try putting a bobbin on to wind and then take off again, make sure when you do that the bobbin holder clicks back into the sewing position not the winding, you might need to give it a little push in the right direction then see if it sews ok for you. if not may need a service call.

Singer 9217 thread winds under bobbin instead of on bobbin

Make sure the bobbin is seated all the way on the winding pin. There may be an adjustment for it--a technician can probably fix it for you. However, you can also try lifting the thread with a pencil tip just before it winds onto the bobbin. Some of my machines wind the thread unevenly (more on the bottom than the top of the bobbin) and I balance it out by lifting it when winding.

Sewing machine won't take a single stitch

WOw Paying attention would have been best...Thread machine properly of course, insert bobbin spinning in the correct directions
a simple top stitch sounds fine. Go On You Tube and look for your machine, and a descent video of someone using it.

I have the Elna 6003 quilter's dream machine. The problem is that it is stuck in the "bobbin winding" mode and will not allow me to change stitches. I have tried turning it off and turning it...

Does this have a bobbin winder post and stop at the top right. If so, is the bobbin winding post moved back to normal position or up against the post?

Being computerised, if you have tried powering it down and all the settings are correct, then it might want a trip in the car to see the technician to sort out this fault.

[email protected] needle on my Bernina 1530 Inspiration just stopped going up and down whether I use the foot pedal or manually attempt to move the needle

This sounds like you have the machine in bobbin winding mode, just refer to your manual to take it out of bobbin winding mode. I'm not familier with your exact model, but the is typically a lever, or button that is used to wind bobbins, so the needle doesn't keep sewing without the bobbin thread in place.

Please rate my solution thanks

Shirring fabric?

Drop the bobbin with the elastic in the holder without feeding it through the holder, and enlarge the stitch length,

I have a designer 1 that won't release the bobbin.

Winding too tight;
Whenever your bobbin won’t come off any Viking, Designer 1 included, it’s because it wound too tight. This is how you know. It went on easy! To get it off, don’t pry, slowly unwind all thread, it will change shapes and let go of the bobbin winder. My favorite way to wind a bobbin on a Viking is to thread the machine through the needle and go under the foot then up to the bobbin winder (it has to be under the foot or it winds too tight. If it still winds too tight, lay your thread down instead of standing it up, the weight of the thread can increase tension on the winding process also check that you use a spool cap as large as or slightly larger than your spool. If it still winds tight. I’ll explain what bad thread can do.

Test your thread quality to start, thread your machine and LIFT the presser foot (this opens the tension disks). Pull your top thread straight back. If you feel no tension no mater how much thread you pull, your thread is good. If that your machine passes that test (tip: always check your thread this way when you thread your machine)
