That sticker is there to tell you that it's supported, as in you can replace your dvd-rw unit with a blu-ray one. In that case you will need a media player that can play blu-ray movies - the best one is VLC.
The specifications of this laptop states that it has a Dual layer DVD R/W drive. This drive can only play DVDs and CDs but not BluRay discs and it can burn single and dual layer DVDs and CDs.
Just do recovery your notebook. try to run the acer Arcade without upgrade it. I also have some problem when I upgrade/ update my Acer Arcade to latest Version. I'm using Aspire 6920G.
