how to replace drum shocks and drum springs

Same Problem

Jan 12, 2009

-   My washer was still washing and spinning, but it was making a loud banging sound and bouncing out of it's spot. I took off the top, and the back panel and discovered that BOTH shocks are broken! I plan to search out local appliance stores, appliance maintanance places to find the parts myself. If I have the proper tools, I may be able to replace it, it looks simple (not easy) to do. If I can't do that, I have a friend who is willing to come with his tools. If he can't do it, I will pay an appliance repairman to do it. But I plan to do whatever I can do to fix it myself. I'm just not sure yet where to look for the shocks in my area.-   valleywalker
