I have the same damn problem with my Propel. It works in one certain place in my house. You have to lay it down and leave it alone until its charged. Its the biggest peice of **** phone I've EVER had. I hate it.
Does the Verizon logo flash when you plug it in? I had this same problem. Take the battery off. Plug the phone in. Observe the flashing logo. Put the battery back in. Observe "Charging..." screen. Power on. Unplug. Good to go.
This might be a hardware problem with cell, Before you buy a new battery, swap it with another. If that works, perfect.
Unless it's defective motherboard or you might have blown certain Ic's that you need to get it fixed.Ic's might be repaired even by yourself, However if motherboard is at fault you might need to pay half the amount of the cell :(
Anyway, i have given you all the steps.
Note - I am taking into consideration that your charger is fine.
Your battery might be dead. How long have u had the phone?? i had mine for 1 year and like 2 months b4 i had to buy a new one because it wouldnt hold a charge
