It's been reported as malicious software. It appears to be part of My Web Search as a plug in.

You can try getting rid of it by using an antivirus program that gets rid of potentially unwanted programs.

Microsoft.com has one available for free called Windows Defender. It's available for download at this link

@ start error message C:\PROGRA~1MYWEBS~1\bar\6.bin\M3PLUGIN.DLL

It seems this dll files is set to load at start up and would actually seem a virus of some sort, nevertheless, this file is not necessary and should be removed from the system and is already removed, all you need to do is disable this file to load at start up follow these steps:

Start>>>Run>>type msconfig>>go to the start up tab and look for the entry that is loading the dll file on startup>>uncheck the entry click apply then click close, restart the pc and the error message should not pop-up anymore.

I hope this will solve your issue.

Good Luck.

If my solution proves useful please accept it.

M3Plugin.DLL

Hi Bry, this is so common with, my web search program.
Try this. Right click once on the start button, (A pop-up window will open), slide up to Explorer & left click on it once. Right click once on the C:\ drive & left click Search from the list.
In the search top window type the name of the file: m3plugin.dll
Click search.
Windows will find the file. Right click once on the file m3plugin.dll listed in the right hand side of the search window & left click Copy from the list. Windows Explorer is still opened. Scroll down to the folder, Program Files & left click the plus sign next to it. Program Files will open & you'll see all kinds of folders.
Find the Mywebsearch folder & open it. Find the folder 1.bin, Right click once on that folder & left click past from the list.
Close all opened windows & restart the system.

Enjoy Bry!

This is a Spyware issue. Go to Add/Rmove in the Control Panel and remove from the list. Then You have to update and run your Anti-virus program. Then google Ad-aware 2008 and download it and install. run it to clear the spyware. The google CCleaner , d/l it and install it when it opens click on analyze , then run cleaner when it finishes analyzing.
I would download SpyBlaster 4.0 ( or latest one) and install it
Try to run the programs in Safe Mode.
These are all free programs that will help you clean your PC and help keep it clean.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it.
Thanks, Joe
