Programing Caller ID display on my Toshiba DKT2010SD

Chris:

This is how your answer reads on my screen. I do not have a button that shows three squares in a row, perhaps there was some type of formating error in the message?

Which buttons should I be pressing?

Thanks

Blake

If your telephone has an LCD, use this section to learn more about its functions.
In its idle state, the LCD is a desk clock and calendar. When you are on an outside call,
the call duration displays.
A “+” on the LCD readout
(shown at right) indicates there
is more data to display.
➤ Press to advance
through the information.
➤ Press to switch from
the Call Forward (CF)
display to the User Name display.

INCOMING CALLS SHOW "601 DAY" ON THE PANASONIC KX-T7630, THE CALL DISPLAY IS GONE, HOW DO I FIX THIS?

Next time you have an incoming call:
-Leave the handset down (do not answer the call).
-Press the 'transfer' button to scroll through the different displays until the caller ID is shown.
-Lift the handset to answer the call.
-The next time you have an incoming call it should show the caller ID.

Message counter displays more than I have saved

I think you might be confusing the counter that keeps rack of caller ID information, and the counter that tracks messages stored in the answering machine - two different things, different purposes.

The answering machine part displays "new messages", but can store "old messages". For the caller ID part, look for a button on the handset that says "caller ID" - hit that, and then there will be a scroll up/down pair of buttons - you can look through your received caller IDs. Their may be a delete button on the phone (It's not clear what model you have), which will allow deleting that caller ID out of memory, but if not, having viewed the numbers, your "20" on the message counter should reduce.

The caller ID screen is so faint I can't read it. Is there a way to brighten it or change the contrast so I can read it?

. Press and hold the dial/menu button until "Options Menu" is shown in the display.
2. Use the up/down buttons to scroll through the options below, and press the dial/menu
button to select the desired option you wish to set:
• Set Language
• Local Area Code
• Set Time/Date
• Set Flash Time
• LED Contrast
• Set Tone/Pulse
• Exit Options
3. Use the up/down buttons to adjust the setting, and press the dial/menu button to confirm
and set.
NOTE: It is important to set the Area code so that the telephone can distinguish local or long
distance calls when dialing from the Caller ID list.
NOTE: Time and Date will automatically set when you recieve the first or second Caller ID

How do I set up caller ID on these?

It is very possible. You would have to install a RCIU card into the sytem to recognize the incoming caller ID from your provider. Then you would have to program your system for it to work properly. Do you have a DK or CTX base system.

Caller id

Unfortunately just adding caller ID to your phone line will not work with many business phone systems, especially older systems.

You can have this phone on one of several different Toshiba phone systems. The system must have caller ID equipment installed and programmed correctly for caller ID information to be shown on your phone's display.

Caller ID information is transmitted between the first and second ring. With business phone systems the system itself needs to collect this information and then pass it along to any phones that are programmed to ring at any given time.
