Unplug your mp3 player again and reboot your computer. Once windows fully loads plug your player back in and it should recognize it. If your player won't recognize at that point run windows update and download all the latest updates and reboot again.

Also, try plugging it in to a different usb port on your computer (somtime that works for me)

How to unfreeze mp3 player? i

Please RESET the unit , if not connect the player to the PC and scan for virus. It will be best to remove all the files and format the memory , then load ONLY safe files back to the player as it must play without hanging up. Also make sure that the player is fully charged.

My RCA mp3 player model th1702-a wont work it says it has too much data and is shutting down how do i fix it without spending money?

Connect the player to the PC and scan the files within. If there is any virus/malware detected please remove all files and clear the memory.
Now reload with safe files and to only about 85% of the memory space of the player.
If there is a reset please also reset the player after loading with new files.

My computer doesnt reconize my opal m4002a mp3 player, even after i downloaded the cd and everything. i own two of them and they both have the same problem

Please remove the entire drivers from the PC. Open control panel>programs and Uninstall. Now connect the player and see if the player is detected by itself. If not remove the player and load the driver and ONLY THEN connect the player as the prompt comes to the screen.
if not test with another PC or else there are problems with the player or the memory card.

Computer not detecting

In order to force the computer to reocgnize the device so that you can run the Philips Device Manager and repair your player, Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.

I had the same issue. Plug the player in your PC. Go to "my computer" right click the Sansa player. Go to Properties and then select the "tools" tab. Run the error check and the disc defragmentation

Corrupt playlists

Connect the player to the power supply and PC.

Press and hold [Vol +] & [POWER] until player resets.

As soon as the screen goes blank, release [Vol +] & [POWER] and press and hold [Vol -].

Player should show the connection screen, but without the status line at the top

PC will recognise the player as a removable drive.

Once the PC says that the device is ready to use, open My Computer and player should be in the list. (GoGear)

Right click on the player and select format.

Tick the "Quick Format box" and make sure the format is FAT32, and click start.

When the player has formatted, safely remove, and power up. You will get an error message on the player saying "connect to PC".

Connect to PC normally and repair with Device Manager.
