The last two Weber 200 grills that I have owned have frozen up in colder temperatures. After running for awhile the propane on the regulator accumulates frost on the outside, and then will freeze up choking off the supply of propane. After several minutes it will clear up and the process repeats itself. It works fine in warmer temps. Any suggestions?

Wrap a towel around the regulator to stop the cold breeze. Also, you may want to do the same with valve on top of your LP tank.

Thanks but I tried wrapping the regulator with insulation and duct tape, and the fact that it uses portable propane tanks that are right next to the grill isn't an easy task.

That' about the only solution available for a portable grill. Two other solutions: Wrap a towel soaked in hot water and rung out around the regulator and the tank valve prior to using it each time. The other is, moving the grill to another location where it gets more sun throughout the day and shielded from the prevailing winds.

Hooked up proane tank used once then no flame on grill. There is propane in the tank but no propane flows out of it either when hooked up to the grill or when opening the valve directly on the tank. This...

The valve on the tank has an internal valve that will not allow you to release propane into the atmosphere. It must be connected to a regulator line in order to open.
It sounds like your regulator has failed. Remove the regulator assembly, inspect it carefully for blockage or hose kinks. If there none, try replacing the regulator assembly.

Unable to get gas our of 'Blue Rhino" propane

The problem is an easy fix. Replace the current Hose/Regulator Assembly with a new one. They run about $30.00, at home centers and hardware stores that sell grills and accessories.

Once you install the new one and connect it to the gas tank, open the gas tank valve Very Very Slowly (Slow Motion, Slow) until it's fully open. If you don't do it this, the new regulator will lockup.

Hope this helps you & thanks for choosing FixYa.

My webber genesis 1000 has been loosing power the past few days (yes the tank is full) it will not warm up past 200 -250. any idea what may be the prob? thank you

If your grill runs on propane, it may be a failing regulator. Try replacing the regulator and hose, not very expensive and easy to do.

Normally, at least on an American grill hose/regulator assembly are a universal fit. And both ends of the hose have female couplings. I would think it would be the same on German Models too. For the connection to the grill, the hose coupling size is 3/8" ID.

Can a weber spirit e210 natural gas grill be converted to LP gas? I won the grill but don't have natural gas at my home

Weber sells conversion kits. Basically, you need a new regulator and manifold to accommodate LP instead of the existing regulator/manifold setup for natural gas. Unfortunately, Weber does not sell their parts online. Their parts phone # is: 877-731-8081

How to change a weber natural gas grill to propane

According to Weber, "There is no conversion kit available to convert any Weber gas grill from one gas type to another. Any attempts to do it will void your warranty."

Sorry, but if it's any consolation, Propane Gas burns cleaner and hotter that Natural Gas in an outdoor environment. Which translates into faster preheating and hotter searing temperatures.

Hop e this helps and happy Grilling!!
