Card Not Initialized

"Card not initialized" means that you have to format the card in the camera.

You can solve all your problems by using a separate card reader from now on.

File structure on the card can be damaged. Format card in your camera using camera menu. Note: all images on card after formatting will be LOST. If you have something valuable there - try to download images from card to PC using card reader.

Download any pics from the card first using a separate card reader if necessary. Then, go into the menu and find "format"...follow the on-screen instructions.

You need to "format" the memory card in the camera, using the "setup" menu. This will wipe everything off the card, but the card should then be useable.

just format ur card thru ur camera function or thru laptop card reader and go on this is a table corruption problem

Formatted the card on windows via my computer. Format to FAT and did not select quick format option. Took about 5-10 seconds. Card is working fine now.

I think I can help you; please note that this will erase all photos in memory while formatting the card.

Turn camera on, press the Menu/OK button, arrow down until you get to Setup then press the Menu/OK button. Now arrow down to the last item on page 2 which is FORMAT and press the Menu/OK button. Using the left right buttons select OK and press the Menu/OK button, camera will now format the card and you should be back in business.

Simple : plug the camera on the computer. Go to "My Computer". Select the camera. Right Click. Format the card. (Format) Presto, everything works again!

Does the camera works fine with the previous memory card ?
