Question about Washing Machines
Can anyone help with troubleshooting washing machine problem?
1 - I took the front panel off to troubleshoot a leaking washing machine and...now after I put the panel on it won't start. It just hums...
2 - Washer is leaking and I am attempting to fix, any advice?
The motor is not starting this is the humming noise not a good sound, try it in spin to see if the motor runs in this direction. You may have a motor issue because of the water leaking on the motor?
Now that you have the front panel removed you can look for leaks, you will need a flash lite, start a cycle on the small setting and look for where the water is coming from. If it is coming from the center of the tub above an aluminum case which is the transmission you need a tub seal, if the water is coming from somewhere else it could be a pump, or hose, or ?
