Question about NetGear WGR614 Wireless Router
I have a ps3 with a Netgear wgr614 router i need a way to change it to type 2.help please
In order to achieve NAT 2, you are going to have to set your PS3 to a static IP address and forward ports on your router.
detailed instructions on how to do this and configure your ps3 can be found here:
In order to get into your router settings, go to 192.168.0.1 OR www.routerlogin.net (the router sets up its own DNS) and putting in your username and password. If you have not set up a password, the default username and password for this router is "admin"/"password". Follow the instructions in the page I posted once you are logged into the router's webmin.
Hope this helps!

I tried that for weeks and it did not work for me you must download the 2.0 firmware from netgear save it to your desktop then go to 192.168.1.1 type in tour user name and pass word the foto wan settings under advanced settings then when you see the nat filtering tab change it from secured to open and i guarantee you that this will do it

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
