Have you tried starting in safe mode to see if it will boot that way? In case your not sure how turn the computer off then when off hit power on and just start pressing F8 over and over until you get the black screen asking about safe mode. You might hear some beeping while doing it dont worry about that. Choose start in safe mode with networking.Quick question is there any reason the lapshows the screen of windows starting vertically like that instead of the normal horizontal way from left to right? Just curious if you did that or thats new too.
To get safe mode and depending on the machine you need to press and hold f6 or f8 just after the intial boot screen shows. This will allow you to get to safe mode selection on your pc.
Try start up in Safe Mode press F8. Choose Safe Mode, when at the choice window, to select either Safe Mode Desktop, OR System Restore, chooses system restore and choose a time before you had the "Problem" and follow instructions. This should get you back.
if a blue screen pops up with white writing theres something seriously wrong with your laptop a blue screen on a computer is the worst possible thing that could happen apart from the thing actually exploding and can be caused by a wide range of things, my suggestion would be to reinstall windows as it will basically give you brand new computer with no errors
I suggest downloading a free registry fix program called "glary utilities" and run the program. It should fix all your problems. If anything, you can always do a system restore
If the diagnostics displays on the LCD screen but you get no display when Windows starts to load, it sounds like you have a video software driver problem. Try tapping the F8 key when you power on your laptop and boot in Safe mode. If it works in safe mode then you need to check you driver. You can also try connecting the laptop to an eternal monitor and see what happens.

If your Usb port works, then the mobo is working, so possible graphics problem.
Try booting up in safe mode(normally pressing F8) on boot up then highlight 'start windows in safe mode', to see if Windows will load with only minimal drivers, if so restart again, pressing F8 again, but this time highlight 'start windows with last known good configuration'
Doing any of these 2 things can be done in any order, either last known good config first or safe mode.
