Put a couple of squirts of w-d 40 in the air opening where you usually put your oil . Keep hitting the trigger until it frees up and then add your oil for normal use. You may need to consider putting in a seperator if you dont have one, especially if your compressor is in a damper work space. If this is a second hand tool it may be from the previous conditions it was exposed to.So give it a little time if that is the case. Also, dont settle for the cheaper pneumatic oil. Quality oil will extend the life of your tool as well as improve the preformance.

Chicago Pneumatic 1" air impact wrench leaks air out of the reverse valve when the trigger is pulled

An O-ring has probably failed. Harbor Freight Tools does not generally offer parts for their tools, but in most cities you can find someone who repairs air tools. Check the Yellow Pages or Google it.

On. CP776 impact wrench I have removed the roll pin to acess the throttle valve seal. What would be the correct method to remove these air inlet side parts after the roll pin has bern removed?

try this parts blowup and see if it give you any ideas? i see one roll pin and it is holding in the air inlet guts to the impact gun. i do not see a pin holding the actual trigger assy. item 43 may be the part holding in the trigger and what your describing is you removed the air inlet valve pin. if that is the case then you have to pull the valve out with pin pliers/needle nose/bird bill pliers. here is the link to the parts blowup for you good luck. When the trigger is pulled air blows out a vent at the bottom and the anvil doesn't rotate.

If debris enter the gun, over time the vanes will not move into proper positon and react to air-flow. Vanes can become stuck if stored for long period of time. Pour small amount of diesel fuel into the gun and activate the trigger. The fuel should come out clean, if however black gunk comes out, keep adding fuel until gun is clean. Eventually all the the debris will be washed out and restore function. Good luck
