This is very possibly a power surge, can you tell me how many times the light blinks, you probably have a bad power board now if you had a power surge.
Go into menu and with original remote call up convergence--either it has a problem(will not adjust) or you may with the remote be able to manually adjust the convergence back: sometimes if a power outage/surge it scrambles the convergence memory.
the tv was on a surge protector line, what i notice that i had it plug in a cheap surge protector when i pull from wall i notice the adapter were burn and the cheap surge was burn at that time when i go to cut tv on i could hear a surge like sound. i tried to put it in another plug it wont come on, i open back of tv looking for fuse i could not find it or reset button can solve this problem i hit input button on side it still wont come on. i do not think there is any problem with picture it has something to do with power.
Unplug tv and let it set for a couple of hours. Remove the back panel, the fuse is located somewhere near where the power chord comes in. Remove fuse and replace with one of the same rating.
My ilo Does This Every time We Have A Power Outage Did You Reset It????? Unplug The Tv And Hold Down The On Off Power Button For 30 Seconds Then Release And Plug It Back In And Check.
The noise you hear is the degausing coil and n Sony TV's they are an indicator that the main fuse is good. Your power supply has no other fuses to replace. they are not easy to troubleshoot.
