No Sound on Xbox 360

No sound with my xbox 360 on my new Philips HDTV. I have the red, blue and Green pluged and I also have the red and white cables pluged in also but still no sound.
I think the cable is working because I used to have the yellow red and white cables pluged in the scart connection and straight into my old TV and I had sound and picture.
Any help would be great its really starting to anoy me that I cant have a go of my new TV

Very often on HDTVs there may be more than one YPbPr connection... That is the Red Green and Blue. Under each one, or next to, or above, there should be separate red and white audio hookups for each set of YPbPr hookups.

Make sure they are hooked into the corresponding plugs.

Hope that helps.

Red ring is not the only problem with Microsoft Xbox 360. This amazing device also has some more common problems like Sound but no video problem, disc read error etc. Microsoft is providing extended warranty only for red ring problem. Means you will have to spend some money to get this problem repaired also if you plan to send your xbox to Microsoft, you will have to wait for 3-4 weeks to get back your favourite Xbox. There is one more option in the form of DIY guide, this guide explains solving No Video problem with step by step instruction, so any novice can fix this problem.

Well since the red and white cables are used for both Standard TV and HDTV, we can conclude they work!

Double check the Audio Inputs on your TV - they might be for something other than Component (which are the red blue and green connectors), and the component audio in may be elsewhere.

How do i connect xbox to akura apl3268fd4 tv so its in hd

There are two ways to connect it.
1. The cable that came with your xbox should have two sets of plugs on it. One being the red, white, yellow and the other red, green, blue. You need to plug the red, green, and blue plugs into the tv with the same color plugs. You will also have to plug in the red and white for sound. The yellow plug is not needed. There will also be a switch at the base of the cable near the xbox. That needs to be set to HDTV. If your cable does not have the red, green, blue you will need to buy a cable that does have them.
2. You can use an HDMI cable. With that all you need to do is plug one end of the HDMI cable into the xbox and the other into the tv. Not all xbox's have the HDMI output though. If its new i should have it on the back of the xbox near the normal tv output slot.
If you use the red, green, blue you will have to set your tv on the component channel. If you use HDMI the tv will have to be on the HDMI channel
This will give you a more thorough explanation. http://support.xbox.com/en-us/pages/xbox-360/get-started/console/audio-video.aspx

No video but i have sound

Check the A/V cable where it connects to the Xbox. There is a sliding switch with two positions: TV and HDTV. If you are connected to the tv with the yellow cable (with red and white cables for audio), make sure the switch is on "TV". If you are using component cables for video (the red, blue, green ones), make sure the switch is on HDTV.

My xbox 360 dosent give video

Plug in the Yellow A/V connection to your TV's Video input. or if you have the HD cable you have to have the Green, Blue, Red, pluged in to get video, and then the White and Red for the Audio. (HD cable will not work at all on a A/V input on a TV.) HD cables have 2 red plugs, 1 is for audio, and the other is for video, they should be labeled to tell you what one is what, but if they are not, if you flaten the cords, the Audo White plug will separate the 2 reds, and the one that is between the White and either the Green or Blue plug is the other video.
If thats not it, I couldnt tell you, unless you have a bad connection on the back of your 360, or just a bad xbox.
