I use an ASUS K8V-VM motherboard with AMD sepmron 2800+ processor. os is XP sp3 (wish to enhance to windows 7). I tried to install Galaxy 8400GS graphic card but when I start the system with the card, the display comes and after a few seconds before booting, the system hangs. How do i run this graphic card on my system?

You need the latest display driver for your graphics card.

Click here to download the drivers off the Nvidia website.

Enter the information in the fields as shown below;

Product Type: Geforce
Product Series: Geforce 8 Series
Product: 8400GS
Operating System: Select the operating system you are using. XP or 7 whichever it is.
Language: Choose your Language, English

Then click search and download and install the driver.

This should solve your problem!

Do do recommend sticking with XP as your current computer system will find it difficult to run Windows 7.

All the Best!

Sir i want asus k8v vm grafich controll drivers

The drivers for this board can be found here:
http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx
Select: Motherboard
Select: Socket 939
Select: A8V-VM SE
Select your OS (XP)

The first driver you need to install is the CHIPSET Driver VIA ChipSet HyperionPro Driver V507 for Windows 2000/XP/XP 64bit. (WHQL)This is located under "Others (2)" in the list.

Install the Chipset driver first and reboot

Hope that helps

I m having asus k8v-vm bt no space for sound card

The Asus K8V-VM motherboard has an intergrated audio chip on the motherboard, Realtek ALC660. You need to enable it in the bios. If you do not have you're manual down load it from Asus; http://www.asus.com/Search.aspx?SearchKey=K8V-VM You'll also need Adobe reader installed to view the manual. Enter the bios menu. Open Advanced. See the top of page
2-21 in the manual. Set, High definition Audio to [Auto] Save and exit the bios. Also check out page 1-19. You can install the driver software from the Asus CD or download it from the Asus link provided above.
Realtek Audio Driver V5.10.0.5211 for Windows 2000/XP/XP 64bit. (WHQL)
