As soon as i turn on my ps3 a red screen appears in different languages

That happened to me, send it to sony and you will get a new ps3 in return, atleast thats what happened to me, but all the saved data is still on it dont worry

Did your screen also show a message, in many different languages?

I have had this happen to me a few times while watching movies. Restarting the Playstation seems to correct the issue. I do not know the direct cause.

Yep, this is known as the "red screen of death" you can send it in or use a good guide to fix it from home

This is called the "PS3 Red Screen Of Death" it's the same as the 360's RROD. The best solution would be to contact Sony about it and they should resolve the issue.

this is probably an warning about problems with your hardware (such as gpu or ram modules) .
The only thing you can do is taking the system to an assistance centre for hardware checking, they will test all the components of the system .

if your system is covered by warranty, don't waste time and call sony as soon as you can !!

unfortunately, there isn't any firmware solution to fix it, because all system functionality is prejudiced.
the only thing you can do (i belive it wont work), is reseting av settings by holding the on;off button when starting up the system .

i just turned on my ps3 today and there was a red screen that said " there was a serious error and i need to call technical support for assistance" in different languages. it wont let me do anything else it just stays in that screen. I cant even go to my menu. Please if anybody has any advice write back!!!!!!!!

did you replaced the hard drive ?? what model # is this ? is this the firts time you turn it on?? or it is the firts time it does this on you? if you can give me more info I can get you out of this I do fix all ps3 problems including the red yellow light of dead , or damage dvd drive
