Don't know much about the Samsung phone; Can you put music on the 1 Gb memory card from another source (like a computer) and have it recognized by the phone? Does the phone require music in a particular format? For example, if the phone recognizes .mp3 music files, but all your music is in Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) files, you will not be able to play them on the phone.
1) Find the Samsung phone manual (online?) and see if it requires music files to be in one format, or another.
2) Try loading music, in the proper format, from different sources onto your memory card.
Like computer, your phone need space to run applications /programs ( chaching). It seems you phone need more free spaces ( if there is no virus, on the phone). To get more free spaces, you need to move some programs/ applications/ files from phone memory to card ( if any). Otherwise you need to delete some files on phone memory.
Make sure the phone sees your card by going into "Settings and Tools", "Memory", "Card Memory", "Memory Usage". Make sure the numbers match your card capacity. To put the music files on the card, all you have to do is to copy the files to "my_music". The media player on your phone will automatically find all songs in that folder.
1st - Place the SD card in the phone. 2nd - Adjust the setting to save Pictures, Video, Music to the SD card by going to Settings and tools > Memory > Save Options. 3rd. Remove the SD card from the phone and connect to PC. Now on the PC you will see the phone has created folders for you "Music". 4th - Drag your music files into the correct folders (ie music, pictures, etc). 5th Place SD card back in LG Envy 2 and enjoy the music.
i JUST bought this phone, and got very frustrated trying to download music into the music player. Drag and drop your music files from your pc into your "my music" folder. They DO NOT show up right away, this is why i got pissed. I figured I was doing something wrong. I had the card in my phone, and my phone plugged into the usb port. They finally showed up on my phone after I took the card out and put it back in. As far as saving them for ringtones, I am pretty pissed that I can't do it. I am thinking Metro wants us to pay for them. That is such b&*%$#*!
Ok first, transfer all your data to memory card using fexplore or file manager then check ur phone memory if it dont work try this 1. first type dis code *#7370# then press yes and then put your security code and it will format ur phone.
WARNING: remove ur memory card and try the second solution
and all data of phone memry will b erased
ok, I have managed to use my sandisk 512mb card to put on music...even though I didnt know you had to format the disk in phone first (I dont recommend because all my music is individual clips and not in my music file), however once you see that the music is on the card via "my files" I went to the music player and hit options...then hit "add music from" then hit "memory card"...now you must put a check mark by all the music files you want to add to the music player (or choose "all" and hit ok) This will put your chosen songs off your card into the music player and you can see the song title at the top of your player screen and use the arrows to move through your songs/clips. Choose the song and hit play.
