Power light not coming staying on...

My F300E has suddenly decided the power on light does not have to stay on. I noticed the light was off and gave it a simple tap on the top and the light pops back on for a brief second. I have take opened up the power box and do not see any obvious issues. I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions (I am wondering if a there is a bad contact on the power supply). Thanks.

Pull the cells out and run the filter without them. If the light stays solid then you most likely have a simple short in one of the cells. Install one cell at a time, push it all the way back, close the door, turn on the fan. IF the light stays solid, that cell is fine. If the light flickers or goes out, the most common cause is a bent fin.

Look at the cells and see if any cells are touching or are too close, this will cause your problem.. Simply bend the cells to get even spacing and you should be ok.

Honeywell Enviracaire Elite 300 problem. Light is not on. Seems like no power to system. No snapping or noises. No obvious bent fins or broken wires

If it was wired to the return air it will have a flag switch to let it know the blower is on, sometimes the flag comes off and it wont operate, sometimes it is wired directly to the computer board on terminals EAC that stands for electronic air cleaner and the board turns the air cleaner on when the blower is running, if you have a meter you can check voltage in both places to see which one is the problem. let me know. thanks wally

F300E powers up in purge mode, but shuts off when heating

In the heat mode your furnace fan operates in a lower speed. when your zone panel purges it powers the G terminal in your furnace, which is high speed. You may have an airflow problem if your EAC is powered directly to an outlet, you may have a bad air pressure switch, or if the eac is wired to the furnace control board, it is mis-wired..more info needed.

Ozone smell

When the unit is clean it will produce more ozone. If the unit is a bit oversized then it becomes worse. As an installer I have to be carefull to not oversize these units. O3 is harmless and actually will only stay in the air as O3 for about 1/2 hour. Because of this it will not build up in the air. O3 also in a powerful disinfectant and will help kill mold and bacteria in the air. As soon as the filter gets a little bit of dust on it the O3 production will become much less. Run your fan continuously for a day or so and it will go away.

I have the enviracaire f300e 1001 in a house i just bought. i cleaned the filters. whenever the furnace turns on a buzzing comes from the unit. is this normal? the thermostat also flashes "filter".

Sounds like the filter is damaged or has bent fins.Make sure all the fins are not touching eachother, or they will arch and keep buzzing and flashing. Also there is a wire on the incoming air side of the filter(between each fin) to precharge the particales entering the filter .make sure the wires are not broken.good luck--Nate

Can't get the Honeywell F300e EAC back together.

there is a plastic cell key that keeps you from putting the cells in backwards. Simply reverse the cells and they should slide in fine.
I/O is the power switch, I think O is off.

Honeywell F300E not cleaning air.

A newly installed system should still be under the contractor's labor warranty. Call them and ask them to come out to check on the unit and explain what you wrote above. This should cost you nothing and is the best way to get to the bottom of the problem.
