Hi sfkimura you need to take the battery out of the phone. Next plug the headset and into the port. Take the headset out and now put the battery back into the phone. the phone got set in headset mode. You can try doing a reset of the default settings. Don 't do a factory reset it will erase your phone back to nothing on the phone. Ok hope this help

When using my cell phone in the car with blue tooth, it suddenly mutes and I can't hear anything, not even a dial tone.

go to the enhancements, change the headset connection profile to outdoor or any profile where your mobile is not in silent mode. Even if it doesn't work, try to change the bluetooth system.

No dial tone, cannot receive or phone out. Phone

First check to make sure that the phone line is working. Unplug the telephone cord from teh telephone (Do not unplug it from the wall as you will want to make sure the telephone cord is good also) Plug in another phone and see if it works, if it does the problem is the phone, if it doesnt the problem is either the telephone cord, or the wiring in the wall or the jack.

Just bought phone no dial tone i move the setting to pulse

First thing to try is another phone in the wall jack if it doesn't work either you need to call your phone company. If the other phone works, make sure that the telephone is getting power from the AC electrical outlet. Try swapping the telephone cord with another cord. and lastly, unplug the battery from teh handset and plug it back in untill you feel it click into place. Sometimes the new battery connections are pretty tight and may not really be connected even though it looks like it is plugged all the way in.

NO DIAL TONE

Since an Analog Pana phone uses two pairs, swap phones completely with someone else. If the phone you had works somewhere else and the phone you borrowed does not, it's a wiring issue.
The phones light up because the data to make the display and lights travel on the second (black/yellor or orange) pairs of the jack (pins 2&5). The voice is on the first (pins 3&4) pair.
If the phone is bad, it's bad, but I'm guessing your missing a wire on the red or green lead of the phone jack, either from a bad base cord, or a bad jack.

Uniden TCX805 Cordless "loses" dial tone

Sounds like the switching mechanism that creates the link is stuck. When you answer your phone, you allow the voltage to complete it's path and you either answer the phone or you hear dial tone. If that switch is stuck closed, even though you hung up the phone, the connection is still alive. When you try to pick the phone back up later, the connection is still closed, but your phone has already passed it's "if you would like to make a call" message and you hear no dial tone. Unplugging the power to the phone resets this switch and all is good again.....that is until it gets stuck again. I have seen this problem with phones after a near lightening strike at the house. Sounds like you need to get a new phone as I don't think this is repairable.
